When i started at bradwell i was a freshman. so full of life. the admins at bradwell knocked me down. never helping with issues. promoting drama and choosing sides.

This school is absolutely the worst school to ever go to. Bullying goes around everywhere such as so much drama. Random kids will look at you then want to fight for no reason. You cant be mysterious and by yourself without somebody wanting to hate on you. The teachers are a 50/50. Some are really sweet and then some are so rude. Especially administration. Administration treats you so poorly, they make you want to cry and then laugh in your face about it afterwards.

My son is having the worst experience as a Freshman in High School here. The lack of communication with the staff is abhorrent, and they have issues listening to you when you finally establish contact.

No, they only give notes and you have to study them. That’s all. Some of them don’t even teach.

They give a lot of homework, grade them and don’t help only one Math teacher is helpful (Akin)

Only some of them are effective. Sometimes they offer after school programs to help, only that. Some of them only teach and don’t care about anything else. They have to learn that there are different ways to learn. Some of the teachers. Most of them are good.

BI is a great school! Proud to have a student attend all four years of high school.

We ve been pleased with the quality of instruction and organizational structure of BI. We knew that BI had a few rough years several years ago, as the school went through a few principals in a short time. The constant change of administration made it hard to consistently enforce school procedures and helped contribute to the belief that BI was a problem school. Mr. Carrier has led the school for five years now and consistently enforces procedures and creates a structure that promotes college and career readiness. It is clear to all that learning comes first. As others have shared, there are many AP courses offered, in addition to career-focused courses available through the local career academy (LCCA). One area that needs improvement is athletics. While there are plenty of opportunities for students to participate, the school places such an emphasis on student achievement that athletics are often overlooked or not prioritized. While instruction and learning must come first, the value of a strong athletic program in building character, work ethic, and cooperation shouldn t be discounted. It would be great to see an emphasis placed on building a better athletic department at BI.

My daughter has attended Bradwell for 2 years and I couldn t be more pleased. The highlights: 1)Extensive Advanced Placement (AP) program that recent won a competitive grant ($500K) to expand that program. The courses are more rigorous so the grant pays for college professors to conduct tutoring one Sat/month for each class. 2)Broad range of classes like Oceanology and Statistics. 3)State Champion in the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl (usually the big schools near Atlanta win). 4)The district s 1 on 1 technology initiative, every student has a personal iPad. 5)Bradwell is very career and college focused. 6)Guidance Counselors are wonderful and will help your student in every way possible. 7)Liberty County Career and College Academy (LCCA) has traditional vo-tech schooling as well as graphic design, nursing and culinary arts programs. I think too many incoming residents hear the rumors from years ago and don't give Bradwell a chance. I know for us, having an accredited high school with focus on college readiness was paramount. The fact that she is already earning college credit in AP classes is just a bonus... and its FREE!

My daughters both attended this school and loved it there. They enjoyed both the teachers they had and the friends they made while living in Georgia. We, like many there, are military and move around. They left in their sophomore and senior years and both were saddened that they did not have the opportunity to graduate from Bradwell. I too was sad that they had to transfer to a Texas school. Even though they ended up at what was supposed to be a better school, I truly believe that regardless of what the caliber of school you attend, you get out of an education what you put into it. Their grades remained the same in Texas that they were in Georgia...both took the same types of classes and maintained either a high B or low A in them. Judging a school strictly off of a grade your child receives is a poor way of judging a school at all, in doing so you are judging your child as well. Bradwell, overall was a good experience for our family, but it won't be for everyone, but then, every school we have ever been at has been that way, whether it was rated a 5 or a 9.

We love Bradwell! My daughter is a freshman so we are new to the school. So far it has been a positive experience. I'm impressed by the commitment of this school and administration to emphasize the importance of college preparedness. Events are scheduled throughout the year to give students opportunities to talk to colleges and much celebration is made once a senior selects a school... whether a state university or community college. It feels as though the entire school is cheering for that one student and excited for their success in and out of school. The discipline problems that I heard were an issue in previous years are non-existent under this current principal. They offer advanced placement classes however I'm not sold on the 4x4 block class schedule as of yet. I am very involved in the PTO so spend a lot of time at the school. I'm most impressed by the students... they are polite and well mannered. The school could be most improved by more parent involvement. There are not many parents involved currently. It is difficult to speak to teacher quality so early in the year, but most seem to genuinely care about the students both in and out of the classroom.
