Waddell checks every single box and then some.

The new administration is incredible & I truly could go on & on, but I'm going to give some examples.

My child struggled with attending school because of leaving his comfort place - home. He struggled with this terribly since Kindergarten, and truly it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to navigate in my parenting journey.

He attended Waddell since Kindergarten & the old administration truly didn't know how to handle this / what to do about it. Every single day was a physical, mental & emotional fight with him; from K-1st grade.

In second grade (starting in 2023), there was a new administration put into place in the school & when I tell you the results were in the pudding, I mean it. 2nd grade started out the same as it was the past years for him, but quickly the principal, his teacher, and the guidance counselor learned my child and his needs. QUICKLY. They learned what would help and how to make him more comfortable. The year went on & they literally set a ROUTINE in place for him, coining a spot in the main corridor "[my child's name]'s bench" for the mornings that were a little more rough - and let me tell you, there were a LOT.

They learned how to communicate with him effectively, how to get through to him when he'd shut down. They learned how to push him to be better & when to hold back a little. They really became my village & I couldn't have asked for better.

Third grade was an absolute breeze & he not only excelled, but was honored with an incredibly prestigious award because of the hard work he put into changing & truly we couldn't have gotten this far without this school.

I would move mountains to have my child attend this school, and I hope the reader of this review finds themselves choosing Waddell for their kids as well.

A better elementary school doesn't exist; Waddell will take the cake everytime.

I go to this school you get in trouble for no reason and expelled or suspended for a week or month i been suspended for a week though i don't recommend this school

My granddaughter had something happen to her 3 times this past school year, 1-was inappropriately touched ., 2- got head butted by a boy and busted her nose(he threw his head back into hers) and 3 another boy threw a rock and hit her in the head with it, all while on the playground. I ask who was watching over these kids? Did this all happen because she was the only "peach" girl in her class? We will never know!

The pitiful Muscogee county school district Denied my son's hardship request to another school that would be proactive and assist him. Unfortunately, I stuck with Waddell, which doesn't have any program nor help my son with his needs. The teacher is selfish and after a conference with her and numerous request for follow ups, she still has failed to communicate with me in regards to my son but continue to send notes home with explanation. This school is my worst nightmare.

If I could I would rate it a 0. Its the worst school my kids have ever attended . I have one in the 4th grade and my youngest in 1st and they hate it there. Horrible teachers , staff and the list goes on. just an Exp. my kids tell me that they ask the teacher to go over something and they get sent out of the class into another ( not knowing whats going on in their class ) then the day is over the teacher forgets about them . A whole waste of the day .Thats just one thing out of many .If I could I would get them out of that school but as of right now I cant. But next year my kids WILL NOT BE ATTENDING this school.

We just moved to the area and my son started going to waddell elementary and i absolutely hate it...I have never witnessed such ghetto teachers and horrible attitudes!! I can't believe they are teachers. When i walked into the schoolto register my kid there was a teacher going off on her class in the middle of the hallway, i must add how ghetto she sounded...i mean really??? If you are going to be a teacher you could at least talk proper and sound educated!! I can't wait to get my kid out of here.....So disgusted!! Since I can't give this school a rating of 0 (option not available) I have to click on 1 star...

I absolutely love Waddell....my oldest was a honor student there....so when it was time for my youngest to start school...it was the obvious choice for us....everyone there is so personable...from the principal to the teachers.....even the support staff at the school....they know all the kids by name and that means alot to me...the go far and beyond to make sure each child is getting what they need....each year I have been fortunate that my children had the best teachers....I would say if you are looking for a small school that's still teaching subjects instead of test....Waddell is definately the school for you!!!!
