Our familys experience with this school has steadily declined over the past several years. What began as a positive environment has unfortunately become one we can no longer recommend.
The constant turnover of principals and teachers has created a lack of consistency, organization, and communication. It often felt like there was no clear direction or accountability, and we experienced ongoing issues with communication and billing that were frustrating to resolve.
It was also concerning to watch so many teachers leave over the years. The school has shrunk significantly, eliminating grades 58 and combining multiple elementary grade levels. From our perspective, this reflects deeper challenges that have affected the overall school community.
We also felt there was favoritism in how some situations were handled, which made it difficult to trust that all families and students were being treated fairly.
If youre looking for a stable school with strong leadership, consistent communication, and a positive culture, our experience did not reflect those qualities. We sincerely hoped things would improve, but after several years of seeing the same issues continue, weve decided its time to move on. I hope this review helps other families make an informed decision.

Changing principals every year, teachers actively telling parents to move their kids out and leaving, cant keep teachers, used to have all the way through 8th grade but do to horrific guidance and plummeting numbers, they eliminated all grades 5th through 8th and had to combine 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th. Teachers who have kids there verbally abuse staff to force their kid to the next grade despite not being able to read. Nothing about this school is good. If you want 1950s era priests forcing their rule on the school go here. If youre sane,, run away.

Faith Lutheran School feels like home! All the teachers and staff know my kids and greet me by name when I walk in the door. The class sizes are small so we get lots of individualized attention. Academically, my children are learning the same plus more as friends in public school. They know Jesus but the religious aspect is not "overbearing". My kids were well prepared for high school and beyond after Faith Lutheran - I would highly recommend it!

Such an amazing school! The teachers and administrators are excellent communicators & I love the safety precautions they take. It makes parents feel at ease knowing their children are in a safe environment.

Faith Lutheran school is a school that is unchangingly, biblically, historically and confessionally Christ centered and provides an excellent early childhood to K-8 education for your child. Low student to teacher ratios provide caring and individualized learning support. Students learn to better know Christ and appreciate what it means to be a child of God as they are beginning to be prepared for further education and their vocations in the real world.

My experience with this school is horrible. My kid attended their toddler's class and was forced to withdraw on the third day just because he still cried on the third day. Till now I haven't heard anything back about refund and they happened to charge me a month of tuition on the day of withdrawal.
As a summary, I expect more love and care from a church affiliated school and that's absolutely wrong expectation. Your kid has to be perfectly fit into their expectation, no patience or love will be given to your kid. Terrible communication and leadership, I'll file a complain if I hear nothing about the refund.

Our two kids (kindergarten and Pre-K) have been enrolled this year at Faith Lutheran School; and we had such a great experience.
I cant say enough good things about the teachers we had this year- Very professional, passionate about their job as well as very caring.
They keep parents closely informed on what is being taught, how kids are progressing and how do they interact with others etc.
Both of my kids have progressed tremendously this year; they have opened up and have gained a lot of confidence.
There is also before and after school possibilities and I love the fact that homework are being done during the after school program and a teacher is here to assist. You can also signed them up for extra-curriculum activities (basketball, soccer, dance, martial arts ) that are directly coming into the school that makes things so much easier!
Finally, diversity did matter for us (our kids are French bilingual) and this school is very diverse and you quickly feel part of a family whatever your background.
My kids love going to school, they love their teachers, they have progressed and learned a lot and also make great friendships. I feel happy and know that they are in the right place when I drop them off every morning.
I strongly recommend Faith Lutheran !

Our daughter was at Faith Lutheran for the past 11 years. While there were some challenges (which were addressed) my overall perception was VERY GOOD. Look at the number of National Junior Honor Society recipients, class size, and acceptance rate into High School advanced programs. I found the administration will work with you if put you in the effort. As with anything in life, the more you are engaged (volunteering, after school activities, fund raising, etc.) the better your child's experience will be. Where else can you be on a first name, bases with a school principal?

Faith Lutheran is like a family... I never really fully understood the value of what Faith Lutheran poured into my kids until we pulled them out to try public school because of the School Choice lottery. My kids attended Faith Lutheran for 3 years before we chose to send our kids to public school this year to try to save money on tuition in hopes that they would have comparable education and environment. Boy were we wrong. The school my kids have been going to this last year is considered to be one of the most desirable in the East Cobb area but never have I ever felt more like my kids were just a data point than I do now. My kids dread Mondays. They miss their "Jesus time". They miss the attention they received in the small class sizes. My daughter learned so much at Faith Lutheran and was spiritually nurtured as well to the point that she has been such a witness to her current public school class, her teacher even stood up in church and mentioned what a wonderful example and witness of God's love she was - in 3rd grade!! We are a struggling middle class family, but the truth is there is no value you can put on a private school education, specifically what Faith Lutheran has provided my children. We will be making the financial sacrifice to send them back next year, but it's worth it. ALL of the front staff are wonderful, all of the teachers are genuine... even sending home sweet notes with my daughter to praise her for thoughtful actions and good work... I can't say enough. Faith Lutheran deserves MORE than 5 stars (cross posted this review to Google also :) )

Great school if you and your child fit the mold of what their "high expectations" are. If you are not a good fit for the Lutheran community then the experience you get will be much different. The Principal and some of the teachers do not always say hello when walking past you in the hallways. They have a few really great teachers there and if your child is lucky enough to get one of them, they will be just fine.

They have horrible communication with parents unless you are a member of the church and know everybody. Otherwise the leadership and the teachers have conversations without the parents and bring the parents in on the back end of issues.

Solid academics, State Championship Middle School Robotics team (yes you read that right - they beat every single STEM High School in the state last year and won the first competition again this year against all those STEM High School students), Championship Volleyball MS Team, Christian values in everything they do, no Common Core, small class sizes, family atmosphere.

Great church and school with fantastic leaders guiding the ship (Principal, Board Members, Pastors, & Elders). Amazing people within the entire organization...loving, caring and supportive. Fantastic teachers with an excellent curriculum with Jesus Christ at the center and at the heart of what we do as a Faith Family. You will not be disappointed; I can guarantee it.

The faculty and staff are very caring and know each of the children and their families. When things happen in families (death, accident, illness) the families of Faith, both from the school and the church, come together to help out! What an amazing ministry and family atmosphere. The caring for each other is really evident in the school.
The academics are great, too. My son was well-prepared when he went into the magnet program at our local public high school. At Faith he learned so many fundamental skills, such as putting together a research paper, documenting his work in science, etc., that it's been an easy transition to high school, where he continues to excel.

Such a wonderful and loving place. I was so nervous about my two year old being away from me but the teachers made him feel so at home. He just adores school and after two weeks was speaking so much more and singing, He is so excited each day we have school and runs to give his teachers huge hugs. Thank you so much for providing such a safe and loving place for my little boy.

We LOVE FAITH! 2nd grader and 4s in preschool. The preschool is fantastic and my son started Kindergarten here. His experience was so positive we decided to stay. We felt it s a worthwhile investment and we feed into some of the best public schools in the state. The teachers are phenomenal and most class sizes are small. The standards are very high and the academics are challenging but there is a great deal of feedback from the teachers. My children are happy and encouraged to go the extra mile. There is recess and my kids are learning proper manners and morals. Very nice families and no snooty attitudes present in the halls of this school. Our family loves the faith based aspect of the school but appreciates that academics is a strong focus as well. Plus they offer Spanish, art, music, gym, computer lab, just installed a new science lab, real gym class and interactive smart boards. During afterschool the teachers help my son complete his homework or practice his spelling words before he gets home! All of the teachers take the extra time to bring out the best in each student. There is a transitional Kindergarten, which is hard to find. Worth checking out!

I'm a parent of 2 preschoolers at Faith. There is truly a family feeling at the school. When we walk in, the receptionist knows my family, every teacher on the preschool hall knows my family, even if they haven't taught my kids, even the lunch room workers know me and my boys! Because of all school activities, there are always one or two middle school girls who run up to my kids and greet them by name. I heard a teacher at open house say "We enroll children, not scholars." This is true. The academics may not be of the caliber of Westminister, Walker School or other big name Atlanta private schools, but they certainly are solid, and the school has a nice mix of kids. The 8th graders who graduate from Faith are well rounded, confident, kind, AND academically prepared for high school.

My daughter attended Faith Lutheran from age 2 through Kindergarten. As a parent, the atmosphere was perfect. I as well as my daughter was greeted by name when we walked in the door and when I called, it was the same. The teachers were caring and nurturing and I will always cherish the time that she spent there. Awesome program!

Fantastic teachers in a Christian environment. Discounts and scholarships, opportunities for public service, and staff that really, truly care about our kids! We are so glad to have found this school!!

My wife and I each attended private schools and our children have attended private schools for years. We changed to Faith Lutheran because their previous school was all about appearances but the substance was very lacking. Faith Lutheran does not have the best physical plant, that's obvious, but they have the most dedicated and caring teachers we have ever encountered. Every single adult seems focused on bringing the best to every encounter with the children. It's a small Lutheran school with a big heart. Go and meet the people, I think you will be impressed.

Clean, friendly, caring school--outstanding in all respects! We are in the PreK program and absolutely love it. My child has had excellent religious as well as academic instruction. I love the units they've studied this year--they extend the curriculum beyond reading preparation to science experiments and more. The student population is racially diverse, which I like, and the teachers are well-trained. The principal is very involved and greets my child every day. My child has learned so much and is VERY happy here.

The class sizes are small, less that 20 kids which is good. If you are religious your child will get that.............but the school needs to improve their academics. There are public schools in the area with better curriculum/academics. Very few extra curricular activities. If you want your child in a small setting this is a good option. If you want your child to be well prepared academically keep looking!!!!!
