I study test scores from high schools all across America. You have no test scores here. You probably have acceptable scores... but not listing them is highly suspect... of something. Hopefully your test scores at least reach state averages.... but.... not reporting them... is often used to hide problem areas. I'm hopeful that's not the case here.

Homework is not given every day by every teacher and isn't lengthy. it is used for practice and helps our grades.

As a parent of two children at Westminster, I have been highly impressed. We became involved with the community when my husband took a teaching position almost a decade ago. We eagerly cut (a lot of) corners to enroll both of our daughters when they started middle school. Yes, there is a lot of wealth among the parents, but the kids are taught true respect for everyone in their community. My kids are learning not only strong academic skills, but also leadership skills, long-term self-care skills, and community service skills. My bi-racial kids have found a diverse community of friends that are highly supportive of one another and they and their friends have been celebrated for their achievements at the school.

There is no denying the kids at Westminster are smart and ready for college, but there is no emphasis on teaching morals, kindness, or tolerance. There is an "honor code" which is practically meaningless as no trust is placed in the students and everyones first lesson is that they need to push each other down to get ahead and they need to embrace the views of the teachers or they are wrong.

If you are a rich white person, you will be supported and appreciated by the staff, but if you are anything else then it will feel like the school is working against you and you'll never fit in with the rest of the student body.

Again, if you are a white person being bullied it will be dealt with fairly and swiftly. However, if you are a POC you are often treated with suspicion or evaluated based on stereotypes and if you dare do anything to or accuse a white person of bullying you will be crushed.

The students will go to great colleges and have great study habits but this school is teaching them that success is everything and you're only valuable if you're white and come from old money. Disgusting values that you're paying 26k+ to instill on your children

Each teacher is wonderful. Each one is so tremendously devoted. I have NEVER had a bad teacher. I honestly do not even know what a bad teacher is, because I am have never had one. That is how great this school is!!!

There is not much homework, but instructors believe highly in the perception of self teaching outside of the class, i.e. you must study constantly and even if you do not have a test coming up, because if you do not, often not you will fall behind.

Student Council's and Honor Council's are ran by students not any of the administration. All decisions are made by your peers. Including punishments if you were to every break your integrity and fairness. This school has the most responsible and mature adolescents that I have encountered. For example, my Wednesday morning bible group leader was always on time promptly at 7:00 and above all of the integrity within westminster this extra layer of participation really shaped me into the person whom I am now.

Great School! This school is extremely easy if you are willing to work hard and organize. If you are a person whom might procrastinate or likes to regurgitate information this would definitely not be the appropriate school for yourself. I have never had a single teacher whom did not care about us. For example, school ends at 3:00 and office hours ends at 3:30. Most of time teachers could leave at 3:30 if they wanted, but say I needed help in honors geometry (highly unlikely) this particular teacher whom I am thinking about would leave at 7:00 if I needed that help. Every single teacher here is willing to push of there plans to help you no matter how long it will take. Westminster is constantly upgrading both the faculty and students, which is good because it ensures that the pupils have the best instructors, and teacher's have the best students. Everything about this school exists in parallel, good sport teams, good academic teams, excellent teachers, excellent students, and intense rigor, high acceptance rate to IVY league colleges. I want to leave you this this last comment, "High School is something that ever person will attend, if you were to attend just the classes at Westminster you then in essence are not utilizing your entire time, money, and knowledge, instead push your self to try some of the 27 ap's classes, push yourself to try some of the 18 plus sport teams ran by amazing trainers, push yourself to try some of the 30+ academic teams completely organized by student leaders, push your self to utilize even the vast technology tools IT gives us for free, (we have college grade software, CAS, every adobe product, Xcode etc...if you want it they'll get it, matlab, Solid works) try to build an app, push yourself to learn coding with a faculty member, and try your utmost best, if you are someone who doesn't push the limits why are you here?"

Westminster still has the brightest students and the best college placement, but are there cracks starting to show in the polished veneer of this storied institution? Frequent admin changes and faculty turnover in upper school seem to have eroded the quality and rigor of the 9-12 experience.

Our daughter is in middle school this year at Westminster. The entire experience for her, thus far, has been absolutely wonderful. She is actually excited to go to school every day. Yes, there are great learning opportunities (like many schools in Atlanta) but here children are encouraged to think outside of the box, ask questions and expand their perspectives regarding the world. Most importantly to me, I see time and time again, the adults at this school not only display academic intelligence but a REAL emotional intelligence towards the children. In the end, my highest priority for my daughter is that she is in a supportive and nurturing learning environment where she is encouraged to grow and thrive. We have found this and more at Westminster.

The absolute best choice we made for our daughter. The school is exceeding all of our expectations and living up to its reputation as the top school in the South. Our daughter is in pre-1st has been attending for 4 months now and we are absolutely amazed with how much she had learned. She is singing whole songs in French. She is excelling in Math, Science, Art, Music, and Design Thinking! We love that Westminster is an Apple Distinguished School. Our daughter is loving school so much that she doesn't want to leave. She loves all her teachers and her friends. We also love being part of a school with strong principles where students abide by their code of honor, integrity, and respect! There is absolutely no bullying going on or anything like you hear going on in public schools. When our daughter was born we knew her education was very important to us and we dreamed of sending her to Westminster and knew we needed to do everything we could to make sure she was ready!

I completely disagree with the comment before. I do not know about how the school used to be like, but I have a child there right now and she seems to be doing fine. Now I will admit that Westminster is less religious than my child's old school, but the education is absolutely OUTSTANDING. My child has learned so much since she started going there. I do also have to say that her social skills were a little better at her old school, but there are hundreds of others there who are as happy as can be. If you are looking for a school though, do not base your choices off these comments, go ahead and see the school for yourself. I hope that this helped.

Westminster offers a good education, but it is NOT a true Christian school. There are chapels a couple times a year, but that is it. The chapels even are times where pop music is played and religion is barely even practiced. As I said before, it offers good education, but it does not practice religion well. Also, the people there are nasty and the teachers are very short-tempered. When I was a child, I came and after a year and a half I cried day and night because I wanted to go back to my old school so badly. That is my opinion, but some people have better experiences there.

I have a new student at the Westminster Upper School. It has been an amazing experience at every level, from academics, to various levels of support for students, clubs, athletics, etc. The school is very rigorous academically for sure and your student is surrounded by the brightest children. Only attempt to enroll your child in this school if they have a real love of learning, can work independently and have a very committed work ethic. It has far surpassed my son's dreams; it couldn't have been a better fit for him.

As a former student, I attended from Pre-First to 8th. The administration/staff are very rude, and cold hearted people. The parents are snobby, and the kids are lust plain mean. I was blamed fro things I didn't even do. The school is not diverse at ALL. Don't think of sending your kids here. It's not worth your time or money.

Westminster is just an amazing experience! I have been here since Kindergarden and I have loved it! The teachers are great and answer almost all if not all questions asked. Our libraries are phenomenal with all the books I would like to read. Our athletics are one of the best in the Southeast along with academics! This is an amazing opportunities that I advice you to take. If you live anywhere near here I strongly advice to go to an admissions open house!

What seems to be a theme with these reviews is that the positive reviews come from those in the school and the negative ones come from people whom have not experienced Westminster. I am currently a junior at Westminster and I wholeheartedly believe that Westminster is the best school in the states. As in all things, there are flaws. Our lunches could be better, we could have a functioning library, we could have uniforms. But those cons do not outweigh the pros. Our academics are rigorous and sometimes overwhelming, but we are being prepared for college. There is no better feeling when you begin preparing for college than the knowledge that you go to Westminster and that you have a bit of an advantage. Besides the academics, the athletics are incredible. MaxPreps deemed our athletic program to be the best highschool athletics in the nation. An AA school with around 1000 students receiving 11 state championships and 2 second place finishes is an unmatched feat. We also have great extra curriculars. Debate, the drama program, robotics and more have all accomplished incredible things. To sum all this up, no, Westminster is not perfect. But if you simply want the best, consider us.

My only familiarity was in the admission process since we live in the area. Ultimately we opted not to apply our children though the facilities were top notch. Most private schools have uniform dress, but for some reason, Westminster does not. At those ages, that was a negative point with me since competition in clothing is a senseless endeavor. We know a number of parents who have had good experiences except for some who thought their college admission counselors were loathe to recommend any state schools versus more expensive and so-called elite private schools.

My son attended The Westminster School for his 7th grade year and has had nothing less than positive experieces. he's a black male and is thriving in this atmosphere. He's a great student but not very athletic, but played football for the first time in his life for Westminster and has now become more involved into sports, he enjoys all the social events and activities and has made lots of friends. He is very excited about returning next year.

My children attend a different private school in Atlanta, but compete against Westminster in sports. Out of all the schools they compete against, Westminster is the one school I'd prefer not to associate with. Westminster typically wins in whatever event they're competing in, but the students and parents are oblivious to common social protocol. It seems their lives are completely wrapped up in winning, period. When they are down I have seen athletes yell, question calls, and complain to their coach. From the sidelines, the parents bad-mouth the opposing players. In short, it's simply an unpleasant environment.

Westminster has been a phenomenal Middle & High School experience for my child. There s something here to interest and challenge every motivated, creative, bright child academics, art, music, drama, sports of all kinds, robotics, math, languages, debate, social service & action, personal discovery, and more. The opportunities for both wide-ranging and in-depth experiences that foster growth for the whole child are amazing. The children who attend this school don t graduate having been shaped by a homogenizing cookie cutter. They are well equipped for college and beyond. That being said, the school will not be a good fit for every child; the admissions office typically does a good job of placing students who have the potential to do well in the rigorous environment.

Westminster is the school to send your child to if they are extremely high achieving in all areas (including academics, sports, and social life), and can take criticism from college-style teachers. It takes a lot of self-confidence and dedication to thrive at this school.
