This is my first year as a parent at Carman. We love the Pre-k and Kindergarten teachers- they are nurturing and communicative with any class updates on a semi-weekly basis. From the moment we arrive at drop-off at school, the principal warmly greets each child and my son is excited to come to school everyday. He especially enjoys the outdoor classroom they have and the garden, where they have planted and eaten their own veggies. I highly recommend Carman to anyone looking for high- quality Christian education in a welcoming environment. You will feel like part of a family community.

Carman Adventist School has been such a blessing for our family. As many parents may agree, it is challenging to find a school that exceeds academic standards, promotes social-emotional well-being, and fosters a relationship with Christ, all while promoting a safe family- and community-oriented environment.

Our girls really enjoy going to Carman and feel safe with their teachers, classmates, and other staff. We really appreciate how the school provides extracurricular activities on campus allowing students to explore different options, as well as sponsoring various wholesome events for the entire family.

Furthermore, they have various volunteering opportunities (there is even a book club) for parents, welcoming and encouraging parents to be a part of their children's education.

Carman truly feels like family, providing a foundation to set our children up for success.

Both of my children attend Carman. I also attended Carman as a child. We love the family like atmosphere of the very small school. My daughter's class has, for the most part, all been together since Pre K. The classes are small and teachers are excellent! The focus on the Bible and a strong relationship with Jesus is one of the reasons we choose Carman. Staff goes above and beyond to be sure to provide an inclusive and safe environment for children to learn and grow.

The teachers are quick to respond whenever I have a concern, and are very connected to the students.

My son loved his time here and will miss everyone.

Students work hard and school and only bring home things they haven't finished.

My son just graduated, and is excited to start high school.

My children go to chapel each week, and are learning more about God in the classroom, too.

Carman Adventist School faculty plan differentiated lessons to meet the individual child's needs. Students that need additional support are referred to the public school system for evaluation and testing, and then upon return, the Individual Educational Plans are implemented into the general classroom setting.

Teachers and administration actively participate in class meetings, seek student feedback, and intervene as necessary to address social issues that arise. Parents, students, and staff participate regularly in surveys to assess school climate. Teachers and administration communicate immediately with parents regarding their child's experience, and students are encouraged to participate in solving social concerns in a Christlike manner.

Teachers are careful to make sure students live and learn a balanced approach to learning that keeps in mind spiritual, academic, and physical growth.

Posted: January 8, 2018

Teachers are committed to communicating with students and parents using multiple styles and modes of communication.

Posted: January 8, 2018

Students and faculty actively study the Bible each day to learn and contemplate Jesus life and how to build their lives to include these character traits. Weekly chapels, service activities, and experiential learning activities allow students to practice developing character strengths.

Carman Adventist School positively impacts my life professionally and personally. Having served as the principal the past two years, I enjoy close relationships with my faculty, families, and students. Our students genuinely enjoy spending time with Jesus and each other as they learn more about the world God has provided us! As a principal and a parent, I am grateful for the support of Marietta Adventist Church and their willingness to provide a safe space for our children to grow!

Carman Adventist School has been a God-send to our family. The teachers, particularly my son's, and staff are so loving. Academically, my son is challenged daily and is learning a lot but not pushed so far he's just overwhelmed. The principal is new this year and has changed the atmosphere of the school into such a loving, Christian community. I feel like my son is valued and is encouraged to thrive through fun and effective learning. I HIGHLY recommend Carman.

I have found this school to be a wonderful, educational experience for my child. She is challenged and introduced to things (positive) and activities she was never privy to. I also appreciate the diversity this school offers. This diversity is seen in not only the students, but teachers as well. Every student is given an opportunity and encouraged to be their best in character and academics. I'm proud to be a part of the Carman Adventist School community and highly recommend this school. If you are looking for a place for your child, this is it!

My experience is one I'll never forget. Our first year at Carmen was refreshing. The teachers seemed to genuinely care about the progress of the children, although I was not convinced of the dual class teaching, ie first and second grade in one room, etc. Our second year was an absolute nightmare. This particular teacher was sort of a matriarch of the school, having had tenure and a "reputation" of once being a "strict" but good teacher. Our experience was all but good. It appeared that the teacher was not equipped to teach dual grades effectively, or had limited exposure or interaction with a race outside of their background. When confrontation with concerns, it seemed obvious that it became personal. Our family was shocked by the behavior, with the knowledge of this being a christian school, it was very disappointing. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this school.

Carman Adventist School has a strong bible curriculum. I also like the fact that they have PE and recess everyday.

Prior to June 2013, Carman Adventist School was a safe, spirit-filled, loving environment. Students were greeted everyday with a warm smile and hug from the principal! He and his wife, who was the kindergarten teacher, brought an indescribable spiritual presence to the school. Now, he was replaced a female principal who seems to be possessed with.demons. She always mentions her distinguised educational expertise, yet she carries a apirit of evil with her at all times. She is not loving or nurturing, at all. Many families have either already left, or plan to leave. There are two new teachers here, both who do not communicate regularly with parents about what is going on in their classroom. All of the teachers walk around on pins and needles, as if they can only move or speak when the principal says they can. If you are looking for a Christian school for your child(ren), where they will be exposed to an atmosphere filled with the love of God, do not send them here.

We love this school. We left public school and came to Carman for private school three years ago. For the most part I have been very pleased. There are some issues, but that is anywhere you go. The principal is fanatastic, he loves all the kids and they love him. Most of the teachers are wonderful. Particulary the Kindergarten and first grade teachers. My children tell their teachers that they love them. My children have always told me how much they love this school, they are very happy. I also love the fact that it is Christian based. We are not Advenitist, however we are completely satisfied with the teachings at Carman. My children pray, speak of God daily, sing gospel around the house, and are happy! I would definatley recommend this school to a friend.
