I have multiple students who attended from kindergarten all the way through and graduated from Shiloh Hills Christian. They received an excellent education preparing them for acceptance into competitive colleges. There was academic rigor and I love that they were known like family. That is one of the strengths of this school. Students are genuinely loved, cared for, challenged, and celebrated. I would highly recommend Shiloh to perspective families.

Shiloh Hills Christian School provided my three children with a safe and loving environment along with high academic standards to prepare them for college as well as their careers. The teachers were attentive to my kids spiritual, emotional, and academic needs. All of my children graduated from Shiloh and are doing well in their adult lives. I am so thankful we found Shiloh many years ago. I spent 25 years as a parent with students at Shiloh and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
While the school is small and does not have all the bells and whistles of larger Christian schools in the area, you can't beat the family atmosphere that makes Shiloh so special. I highly recommend you check out this wonderful school!

Shiloh is a wonderful school, I have 2 children going, one in middle school, one in elementary. Like the entire world these days they are short staffed and juggling a lot at any given time- always with a warm heart and a big smile- from my observation. I am confident and grateful for the several hats that Mrs. Langford wears and the many juggling acts that she performs daily, she is an amazing lady with a genuine Christ like spirit.

They are not equipped for children who require more help and some teachers don’t have patient . The teacher that was assigned to our son kicked him and later on advices the other kids not to play without son after we complained to the administration about the issue and they started calling him a bad boy . The principle called our son a liar and when we had a meeting at her office she was yelling so loud that we had to close the door. This school I feel like they don’t deliver why they preach and there is a lot of hypocrisy in the name of Christianity and our feel is like there is also prejudice.

We have had 3 of our children graduate from Shiloh in 2015, 2013, & 2010. We also had a Korean, foreign exchange student from Shiloh live with us from 2010 - 2015 and he graduated from Shiloh also in 2015. The christian character of the teachers are wonderful. The christian values taught are great. The emphasis on ministry among the students in the community is amazing. The education is wonderful. The peace of mind knowing my kids were safe and school daily was rewarding to me as a parent.

The teachers are very effective. They offer one on one help classes, differentiation for students with learning needs, and are sure to follow up with parents keeping open communication about the student's progress.

This is a wonderful Christ centered school. The staff and teachers are great to work with. They truly care about the education my child receives. My child loves her teachers and the friendships she has made there. Not only does my child attend there currently, but I attended there many years ago. I spent the majority of my educational career at Shiloh and graduated with honors from there. I then went on to graduate from college with honors and with a bachelor's degree. I can accredit this to the education that I revieved at Shiloh. I was truly college ready. Shiloh offers a Christ centered education with small class sizes, a diverse learning environment, and has a curriculum that is academically challenging. I could not have asked for a better school. My family Is definitely blessed to be apart of such a special place. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!

Shiloh Hills Christian School is a very good Private Christian school. The teachers and administrators work with your family to address your child's individual needs. Also, if there every has been an issue with any child misbehaving it is addressed appropriately. The teachers love their children like their own, I would not want my child in a school where she couldn't love her teachers and staff and give them hugs. The A Beka curriculum is perfect, containing both the fundamentals of education and Christian beliefs, that one needs to be a successful student and a Christian. My husband and I do not believe in Common Core, which is being forced into public schools, so A Beka is right for our family. I want my child to be not just a great student, but a great loving Christian person, which is why we will continue our relationship with Shiloh Hills. You can find no better school for your child to attend that will give them the life skills and educational skills that they need to go out into the world to be a person of morals and values. We have only been here for two years, but plan on many more. If you are looking for a school where Christian beliefs are important to your family, along with educational goals, look no further Shiloh Hills is exactly that!

My personal experience with Shiloh Hills has been excellent. It is a small, close-knit school, and many of the students attend from kindergarten through 12th grade. The administration hires caring, competent teachers who are truly the kind of people I want to influence my children. The academic quality of the curriculum is proven by the school’s consistently high (in the 90th percentile) SAT scores, even though they do NOT pull learning disabled students from the class during testing.

My child has been a student at Shiloh since kindergarten and we have loved every minute of it! Because this is a private school it seems the students from K3 to 12th grade all get to know each other and make everyone feel welcomed and included.

The elementary teachers all seem carefully selected according to their experience in the classroom, teaching ability, and nurturing nature. Almost all of our kids' teachers have had multiple years of classroom experience, and those who were new teachers had graduated from accredited schools that fully prepared them for the pedagogical aspects of the job (although, in my opinion, experience is one of the most valuable components of a great teacher).

The amount of homework varies depending on my child's grade. But I feel that it is a good balance for each of my children's ability and maturity.

My children are all in elementary, so there are many opportunities for their teachers to build on what we try to teach them at home about honesty and integrity. Any time my children have to be disciplined, the teachers are careful to quickly get the situation under control, and they are always reasonable in affecting a resolution. The faculty and staff are vigilant to prevent any repeated negative behavior.

My children did very well on their homework. In fact, it was quite refreshing that I did not have to sit over them to make sure they finished their homework. They were so willing to complete their assignments for their teachers because they wanted to make their teachers proud of them.

I find it difficult as a parent to read these negative reviews that I am seeing. I came to Shiloh a couple of years ago and what a blessing they have been to my family. My child came from a public school not being able to read and within 3 months of attending Shiloh, my child is now reading on grade level and making straight A's. It saddens me that parents vent their frustrations to try and hurt others when in reality they only hurt themselves. Shiloh Hills Christian School is a school like no other! I can honestly say that because I have seen my children grow, not only academically but spiritually as well. I thank God every morning for the administration and for the wonderful teachers they have working there. They truly love the students and care about their well being.

I was originally not going to make a review, but my child's teacher asked if I would leave one. (?) This school may have been a good school in the past, but that is sadly not the case now. Many of the teachers are teaching out of their content areas or are not degreed teachers. (see the school webpage under "staff") Many are technical school trained or Bible degreed. They are not employable by the public schools or most private schools, which require at least a bachelors degree in a related field. The results are what one would expect. Bullying and fighting is common from elementary through high school. These behaviors are often swept under the rug, especially if the student is the child of a staff or church member. Most students make the honor roll, but test scores are low and many students seem to struggle with the content. Grade curving and padding is frequent. In most of our children's classes, if you attempted your homework, you received a 100. A student could actually do poorly on tests and still do well in the class. Apathy among children is common, especially at the upper grades. This was not the experience we were expecting. While there are many friendly teachers at Shiloh, our family will not be returning.

This is not what I expected after hearing what the school had to offer. I really believed the motto of a positive Christian school. It couldn't be further from the truth. This school is more geared towards a Baptist or fundamentalist institution. I'm sure many Christian school are able to remain Christian, but nondenominational, but this is not the case at Shiloh.

I have thought long and hard about leaving a review for Shiloh Hills Christian School, as I tend to shy away from negativity; however, I thought I would just be honest and share my experience so that if you can make an informed decision about the school. Like the previous poster mentioned, there is wide spread bullying, which is overlooked because school officials feels that “children can be mean” and that Shiloh Hills Christian School “teaches kindness through Jesus.” The problem with that type of philosophy is children need to be taught directly the skills you want them to emulate and children lack the cognitive ability to correlate Jesus with specific acts they are to follow to become productive citizens. In addition, many of the teachers do not have a degree in teaching or they have a degree, but not for the specific grade level they are currently teaching on. This is legal according to Georgia Department of Education for a private school; but again, we are entrusting this school with our greatest treasure – our child(ren). All teachers, regardless of public or private, should have the knowledge necessary so that all students receive the best education possible to pave the way for future growth and development. As for the curriculum, A Beka, please take the time to review and research information about this course of study. I had to supplement information throughout the year due to the weak, misleading information found throughout the courses. In the end, I regret my decision to send my child to Shiloh Hills Christian School.

I regret choosing this school. The school is very Baptist fundamentalist, and is not the school for our family. This was a sad excuse for a Christian school.

Many of the teachers do not even hold degrees. The school chooses experience over education, and this is legal according to the US Department of education..

Shiloh has been an amazing place for our children to grow academically and spiritually. They have had opportunities to be leaders within the school and to carry it out into the community. From kindergarten to high school they have had excellent classroom teaching as well as emotional guidance from a staff that apparently loves their job and their school. Shiloh has been a great fit for our family as well as being affordable for a quality education.

After sending my 2 stepsons through public schools I knew I wanted something better for my kids. A real education was important to me, not a football team or social standing. My wife and I looked at a lot of schools. A lot. The academics was great at Shiloh. They were at other schools too. Then we went to Shiloh Hills Fall Festival and talked to several students. The manners and maturity was amazing. These kids were sharp. Couple that with it being one of the cheapest schools on our list and we were convinced this was the place for us. The one reservation I had was that we are Catholic and it s a Baptist school. Too be honest I didn t even really care if my kids got a Christian education. I just wanted a good education for them. I was wrong. Shiloh Hills Christian School provides a great education not matter your faith and through it s Christian beliefs and teachings helps you raise great kids. After 9 years I can t say enough good about this school and it s staff. Plus the sports programs serve their students as I feel it should. It doesn t take a village. It takes good parenting and a good school. This is your good school.

I could not ask for more other than it being closer to my home. But it is well worth the drive. The entire staff are wonderful, loving, funny and heartwarming. I have a peace knowing my child is learning in a Christian environment all he needs to learn to be successful but also the truth about the one who created him and loves him the most. I would not change a thing. I am thankful to have found Shiloh and blessed that my child is there.

Several things make SHCS my 'choice school' - Leadership - Great Administration at all levels of the school Biblical Worldview - Taught AND Lived by the qualified teachers in the classrooms. Co-Curricular Activities - Fine-Arts and Sports Programs are outstanding. Teachers - They love God and the love my children. SHCS has been a wonderful experience for my entire family!

Shiloh Hills Christian school has taught my daughter Charli so much. She randomly starts quoting bible versus, She pays better attention, she is joyful, She is 4 and on the cusp of reading. Her teacher Mrs. Tammy Stewart is filled with the Holy Spirit, love and patience. The Lord blessed her with the gift to teach and she does it very well through Him. The staff, all the way from janitors to the principal have smiles and kind words. It is a smaller school but for us it's perfect. That is evident through out the school since most kids start in prek and graduate there. With smaller classes it's less bullying, like almost none. The staff and teachers pay close attention to each child, providing love, GRACE and patience. I have been blessed by the volunteers who serve day in and day out. For our family, we follow the Lord and pray that His path continues to bless our house hold with the finances for our children to attend Shiloh Hills Christian School.

My daughter just started 1st grade at SHCS today! I was so impressed with their K5 program last year after my daughter was reading fluently by January and continued to excel in reading throughout the second semester. The teachers truly love their students at this school and it is evident in the student's excitement to return each year/each day! I would highly recommend SHCS if you are looking for a Christ-honoring school that excels in academics and love for their students.

Shiloh Hills Christian School has been such a blessing to our family! The teachers are very caring and will go to great lengths to see your child succeed. We have had students in both the elementary and the middle school and have been very pleased with both. We love the small class size and how it really does feel like a 'family'. Their test scores are consistently well above average and they are currently accredited by SACS. Our children have also thoroughly enjoyed the athletic program. All of the reasons listed above make SHCS a GREAT school!

Shiloh Hills Christian School is a wonderful school! My daughter is 8 years old and is in Second grade. She has attended Shiloh for 3 years and each year we continue to fall in love with the teachers, staff and families more and more. My daughter has a learning disability. Shiloh has embraced her and encouraged us in so many ways. My husband and I wanted our daughter to have Bible based teaching, smaller classes and affordable tuition. Shiloh Hills Christian has met all of our expectations and so much more. We truly feel blessed that God has allowed us to be part of the Shiloh Hills family!

Great private school. We always wanted our children to go to a private school and didn't want them in the public school system. After looking into a few private schools Shiloh Hills was the best pick for us. We liked that they would be able to start in pre k and not have to change schools to go to Jr High or High School. After meeting with Mrs. Stewart we knew this was the school that we wanted our kids to go to. She was so excited to be able to start a new year and being able to teach the kids, you could tell that she loved teaching and truly cared about the kids. To us that was important, we wanted to see a low turnover rate for teachers as well as to see that most teachers have been there for years. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a private school.

My son has been a student at Shiloh for 11 years and has received a great Christian education, as well as opportunities to be involved in athletics, service projects, and fine arts. I can remember several times when his teachers contacted me to let me know how he was doing in their class. That's one of the advantages of attending a small school. I have worked at Shiloh Hills Christian for three years, and have been so blessed to be a part of this "family." This distinctive family-like quality shines through the way that the staff truly cares and supports one another, the students, and the parents. During my first year of teaching, I experienced this support first hand through the encouragement I received after receiving a difficult health diagnosis. The level of support given from colleagues, students, and parents was an unparalleled experience for me. I will never forget returning to work and receiving kind cards and chocolate covered strawberries from my students . Going forward, I have continued to witness the unique support given to the staff, students, and parents when needed through the offering of encouragement and the meeting of needs. The teachers care about meeting the academic and spiritual needs of the students and go out of their way to help them succeed in these areas.

We have been at Shiloh for three years now. We have been happy with the environment, the teachers, the class size, and all the extras you get by not being legislated by the State and Federal government. The school has been SACS accredited for about a year now. As a public school teacher, I can't imagine having my kids in public school after seeing a better alternative!! To correct a previous reviewer, Shiloh Hills IS accredited by SACS as well as other accrediting agencies: American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) Georgia Association of Christian Schools (GACs) Southern Association Of Colleges And Schools (SACS) Georgia Private School Accreditation Council (GAPSAC)

It's our 4th year in Shiloh Hills Christian School. My daughter absolutely loves her school and teachers. Every morning she goes to school with smile on her face, and can't wait to see her classmates. To me it speaks volumes, knowing that my child is spending her day in caring and loving christian environment. Teachers go above and beyond in providing great education for children. My daughter has excelled academically and socially in this school.

I agree with the last review. We were told 3 years ago Shiloh Hills was working to get SACS Accredited that year, three years later they still are not. You get what you pay for.

You should avoid sending your child to Shiloh Hills unless your primary concern is spiritual instruction, specifically in the Independent Bible Church, a fundamentalist doctrine Shiloh is NOT Baptist affiliated AND as mentioned in other reviews, legalistic. The Student to Teacher Ratio is more accurately, 15-21 to 1, until you get into upper school when students attrition may cause STR numbers to drop. Currently, many Shiloh parents and grandparents sub or teach classes and do so only with church approval, regardless of whether they hold a teaching degree or attended college. At Shiloh, you get what you pay for.
