We love Lanier County Schools. My son first attended the Elementary school and is now in the Middle school. All of his teachers have been great. They make sure the parents are informed of progress of the student. They have a great system to ensure parents are notified of upcoming events, homework, and reminders. I'm not sure why this school is rated so low. I wouldn't change his schools at all. The class sizes are smaller than I've seen in other schools. The teachers are passionate about what they do. The administration is always trying to get parents involved in the learning process. Lanier county has great schools hands down.

Teachers and staff only care about getting through the school year. They don't have the students best interest at heart. The students never learn what there mistakes are. So therefore they never learn right from wrong. When the School Board elected to take away away the fundamentals in writing and spelling. They forced a handicap for a lot of students who struggle with this in there education everyday. The county is flawed. They are turning back the clock on our children's education. Parents need to stand behind there children in there education. What we choose not to see and what we choose to accept because of this fast paced world can in turn cause harm to your children. There are a lot of mistakes that go on in the school system with there education. Watch and listen and take part in there education. This is for there future. There is no going back. What they learn and don't learn today will mold them into who they are for there future. What they are not being taught can effect them in there future. Stay connected with your child's education. Its one of the most important jobs as parents we should do for our kids.

Overall Lanier schools are pretty good. Could do better with tutoring students who need extra help. Also Need better communication between parents and teachers.
