They are doing a fabulous job with remodeling this High School and it looks great. The school is very secular and I'm not sure if they get the highest testing ratings that they could get.

The orientation to the school was teacher organized, but student led. The students are getting out in front and participating. I was very impressed!

My son has an IEP for his diagnosis of autism. Every class that my son is scheduled for has a teaching assistant. Some of the classes are year long (instead of semester only) for that extra support. Most of the teachers/teaching assistants that I've met are Special Education degreed. Also, the transitional specialist is VERY well informed and educated to work with IEPS and showed up to our middle school transition IEP. We also were able to get a walkthrough of the school with the Vice Principal AND the transition specialist when we were shopping highschools with my son's SB 10 scholarship. We chose Jenkins HS because they were the best prepared and most genuine and down to earth. Better choice than Islands Highschool in our opinion.

The teachers take every opportunity to communicate with parents. They seem genuine!

I am super excited and proud to be working with the faculty.
Half of the problem that kids have is that their parents don't get involved. This faculty is on top of it!

Grades are just handed out to keep kids from failing. My child's grade was definitely not a reflection of the work done. Kids have little respect for most of their teachers, saying they don't do anything and just give busy work.

This school passed my child, but uimately failed her in life...wish I could get a tax refund.

The best decision I ever made, was to attent Jenkins Honors Academy. I have loved every minute of it. The teachers and staff are amazing and work to make our education top notch. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fulfilling and challenging high school experience.
