The physical location of the building is ideal. An excellent neighborhood school nestled in a valley near public parks and other conveniences in Woodstock.
The academic and extracurricular opportunities are numerous and diverse. The students and faculty face the same challenges as most secondary schools in large suburban metro ATL. Compared with the schools that I have been associated with as a professional for 40 years, the faculty and staff do an excellent job of handling the endless demands and challenges of a growing and diversifying community.

they have no idea how to support kids with chronic health conditions and they think school is more important than doctors appointments and surgeries. the administration and staff pretend to care at first but become insanely patronizing, dismissive, and close-minded. the teachers are the only ones who actually seem to care and have some semblance of understanding for chronic illness and how it can affect the student.

The principal reminds me of the dean in the movie, 'scent of a woman'. If you want to gamble with your child's future, this is the perfect school. Just remember the house always wins. The administration are tossing kids out like we have more to spare. Run.

My daughter attended and graduated from WHS and her/our experience there was stellar! Great programs, great teachers and a very supportive & responsive administration staff. I once emailed the principal with a simple question and got a phone call back within 15 minutes. We loved WHS!!

I am the parent of a junior at this school. To say I am unimpressed would be an understatement. The vaping, drug use (edibles, pot, etc.) sexual activity and bullying have over run the school. Teachers have an "over it" attitude and I can't say that I blame them. If you are thinking of going to this HS, do yourself a favor and DON'T.

Do not attend this school. As a current student the amount of times bullying has gone unnoticed is ridiculous. The councilors and staff do little to nothing about bullying. The racism by both staff and students is prominent in this school. The drug abuse has also become normalized. The teachers are fine in my experience but some seem to really not care about their students. The principal is ableist. Called someone with neuro divergent difficulties crazy and when he is as called out at an assembly he did not take responsibility. The students here are not treated well by both the staff and other students unless you are athletic, popular, able-bodied, and white.

I'm in my sophomore year and honestly if I could leave whs I would. The halls are way too over crowded, it's impossible to get anywhere without getting shoved. Not to mention with so many people I'm always late to my classes unless I run. But if your seriously looking for an education I do not suggest going here. The teachers could not give one less of a damn. They don't even teach. Also, the lunch room is way too full. having a hundreds of kids all scrambling around trying to get lunch and find seats is not the highlight of my day, if there even is one at that school. DO NOT send your kids here, it's just a big waste of time. I have been trying to get my parents to get me out of this hell hole for a long time, don't put your kids through it.

I came into Woodstock as a freshman with a slight hope that this would be the first good school that I would have attended. But unfortunately I was sadly mistaking. The administration for the most part does not want to help and is hard to get a hold of, although there are a few responsible staff. As for the teachers, you will be lucky if you get one who actually cares. Throughout the last two years (I just completed my sophomore year), I have had teachers so hateful towards to the students, that they have actually dropped out of school. I am seriously considering private school or online school because of the lack of attention in the classroom which brings me to my next point. The class sizes are WAY too large. The school is so over populated. You can`t walk down the hall in between classes without getting shoved or pushed. Students are hateful towards each other and no one cares. The traffic trying to get into the school is a nightmare. The majority of the students are careless drivers. My mom got rammed last year by one of the students right outside of the school. Unless you don`t want your child to get offered drugs on a daily basis, DO NOT send your child here!!!

This is a decent school. The teachers are nice (except for the spanish teachers) and are very good at what they do. I did have one teacher (biology) that i didn't like. One thing that thus school needs to worry less about is attendance. Seriously, you can lose credit for a class if tyou have 7 or more tardies or absences. You get the flu and your done you'll have to appeal and do all this stuff because they don't take doctors notes.

I have had two children attend this school. One had serious health issues for most of the time attended. No one worked with us at all and a student who had carried a high B average was someone they did not deem necessary to make any extra efforts to help. We ended up withdrawing her early in her senior year. What should have been an amazing experience became our worst nightmare and the patent answer from many of her teachers was "check my website", which would be great if they were ever updated. The counselors are some of the most uncompassionate people I have ever met and like a previous poster, the old principal was nowhere to be seen. I give kudos to the attendance department, they were the only ones who seemed to care at all about any student's wellbeing. My second child is still attending WHS and our experience has been better with him. He is in band, which is an excellent program. I hope for the parents and the students that the new principal will make a huge difference in the school. In just the short time he has been there, I have seen him more than I ever saw the previous one in nearly 4 years! This school has great potential and still has some really wonderful teachers.
