Let's see, my child was assaulted at school, at home in their neighborhood by children of the school, bullied at school, we had to goto the superintendents office probably at least yearly because the school administration wasn't trying to uphold things like our federally protected 504s plans were not being complied with by staff. This school is all around below average for quality of education in almost every aspect. One child of ours is attending private school to not to attend Mabry Middle joke of a school. The other has aged out thank god. I would warn that these sites are not good are grading schools at all and the area is maybe half as good as rated

Our daughter just finished her 6th grade year at Mabry and we could not be happier! If your child has an IEP, this is a great school! Our daughter has always struggled in school and we were really worried what her first year in middle school would look like. Her 6th grade year was the best year she has had thus far! The beginning of the school year was a little bit of a struggle but with some adjustments to her schedule, she was thriving! All her teachers were wonderful and did their best to make sure our daughter was getting the help she needed.
I also noticed Mabry does a great job at not putting up with bullying. They take it seriously and act appropriately to different situations.
I would definitely recommend Mabry to others!

Every teacher seems to be very interested in my child's education

I've had two children attend this school and I can't say enough good things about it. It has prepared them well for high school and the teachers really care about their students. We've even had teachers come to my children's extra curricular activities that had nothing to do with the school.

I have 2 children at Mabry. They seem adequately challenged by the curriculum. The teachers I've dealt with take their jobs very seriously and behave professionally. We've never had or heard of any serious discipline problems here. In summary the staff, parents and the students are as good as you could hope for.

The school has a strict no bullying policy and is a No Place For Hate school. They are very proactive, especially in regards to cyberbullying (which is unfortunately so common now). They also have strong counsellors who are very interactive with the students and proactive to any situations that may arise.

My children are all on level but I know Mabry has small group special student support and a MID class onsite. The parents I know who have children with IEP's have been very happy with Mabry.

Not only does Mabry have a strong, firm but fair administrative team, it also has opportunities for teachers and staff to take on leadership roles in school. The school has a variety of activities that require teacher sponsorship. Mabry's staff is excited to spend the extra time both before and after school to nurture students and provide them with opportunities to grow and lead themselves. Mrs. Heflin, the principal, is probably one of the best principals I have ever met. She loves this school and it shows.

Mabry has developed quite a few leadership programs and participates of many outreach programs every year. They encourage independence, leadership, responsibility and self-control (hard to do with middle school kids). They allow their students to develop into adults while still remembering they are kids.

The teachers at Mabry love to teach and it shows every day. They are happy and happy teachers are excited to do the best they can for their students. It shows in Mabry's test scores and the overall climate of the school.

My children are in both AC and onlevel classes. I have found that very rarely do they have so much homework that they are unable to finish it all in one evening. And with the Block Schedule that Mabry practices, the homework load is spread over several days. Also, with the Edmodo system, it is very easy to keep tabs on assignments and communicate with teachers if necessary.

I have two children currently at Mabry and one who has moved through and is now at Lassiter. I LOVE Mabry. The teachers are amazing, the administration is attentive and welcoming and the support staff are engaging and available. My children have and are thriving at Mabry and enjoy the school tremendously. While it is an East Cobb school, which most people associate with upper middle class white, the staff there stress diversity, acceptance and community outreach while also having an amazingly diverse school environment. I am incredibly happy with the scholastic rigor as well as the community/family environment. It is a great school.

I attended Mabry for 2 years. I loved all of my teachers I had both years, and I rarely fell behind in the lessons! A previous review mentioned the blogs were not kept up to date, but that was not the case for me. The AC (advanced content) programs offered challenging assignments that kept me thinking. I am now a freshman in high school and I'm in 2 honors classes and even a pre-AP class! I also loved the chorus program, and my friends in band and orchestra were satisfied with their experiences. This is a great school in the East Cobb area!
