GME is a wonderful school with a great community feel. There is a dedicated STEM lab instructor which allows the students to fully engage in STEM based activities outside their homeroom. There is also a school garden that allows teachers and students a quiet place to connect with nature while providing an outdoor classroom to observe the plant lifecycle, experience different fruits and vegetables and so many other things. Additionally, there is a nature trail on the school property with seating areas that also allow for outdoor learning.
The teachers and staff are committed to seeing their students succeed and working with them to ensure they have every opportunity to do so. Communication from the teachers and administration is frequent and thorough.
In addition to the county run ASP, the school offers a number of after school clubs covering a variety of interests. There are also many community building events held at the school throughout the year that further engage parents, students and families.
Overall it is a fantastic school and community.

I love this school it’s the only reason why we won’t move our son started here with special need pre-k we saw a huge difference in a month with him then he spent kindergarten in the Autism Classroom which most schools don’t have he improved so much 1st grade he was moved into non Autism classroom because of improvement from the year before. Really can’t wait to send our other two children here this August!

Great school!! But they need to do better when it comes to organizing 5th grade graduation ceremony. Because last year ceremony (2,016) was a joke a total disappointment, the kids didn't even get a diploma or some type of certificate at least saying that they passed 5th grade. The only good thing that day was the food, so thanks for that. But besides the bad graduation, everything is great with this school and I love how they don't like to leave any kid behind. Great teachers, and the principal is a very polite and humble person.

We moved from another part of the state to be part of Garrison Mill, the year before our first child entered Kindergarten. This is our 4th year there, with two students now enrolled. I can’t imagine a better early school experience for our entire family. All staff members, from the administration, to our bus driver, to our teachers, consistently exceed our expectations. I am amazed at what our children learn there. The students and parents are, as a group, inclusive, kind, and involved. We made the right choice 4 years ago, and we look forward to future years at Garrison Mill.

Our 2 daughters are at Garrison Mill and we couldn't be more thrilled with the school. The faculty and administration are top notch and are very accessible. Parent participation is strong as well as the educational foundation and PTA.

We chose to live in this part of town for the schools and we're glad we did! We moved here this year from out of state, from a district that had a reputation for being very competitive, but Garrison Mill has far exceeded our previous school. We had been told that Garrison Mill was one of the best schools in Cobb, and we have been very impressed. Kids have to work hard, but we have seen our children blossom in this environment. They have a large number of parent volunteers and a highly active PTA, as well as great programs in arts and music.

With three grandchildren successfully attending and enjoying their participation in the programs at this school, I can confidently state my satisfaction the excellent way in which the business of educating children is handled at this school.

Very involved parent community with committed leadership. However, this school encourages redshirting, which I completely disagree with.

We came from a private school in Atlanta and Garrison Mill is a public/private school. We have had an amazing year so far and the teachers are wonderful. The new principal is truly the best! It is a wonderful school.
