Our experience has been wonderful. My son loves his school so much. He only attends 3 days and asks for more.

If I could wave a magic wand and create my ideal school, it would look just like The Garden School. The leadership team works tirelessly for the children to create a space where they are nurtured, enriched, and develop an empathic world view along with a brilliant approach to academics. My two children at The Garden have vastly different personalities, and they are understood and treated as individuals with differing needs.

We had every intention of exclusively homeschooling our children because we truly felt that we could offer them more at home than they could receive in the public school system. Those plans quickly changed when we found The Garden. We now have a school that can give them more than we possibly could at home. We are so thankful to have the love, support and wisdom from the community at The Garden.

Our daughter is completing her second year at The Garden School and has had an amazing experience. She is excited to arrive at school every morning and sad to leave every afternoon. The teachers are truly wonderful people who value their students as individuals and teach them with love and compassion. The school community is also lovely, inclusive, and diverse.

The Garden School is very active and hands on, which is great both for typical students and those who have a hard time conforming to modern traditional school environments.

We have never had any bullying issues and the close connections between students and with the students & teachers really help with bullying prevention.
Posted: January 24, 2018
Statistically it has been proved that homework before high school does not benefit students in any way. The Garden School encourages family and play time at home and never sends home worksheets or busy work to be completed.

Having the same teacher(s) through several grades as they do at The Garden School is hugely beneficial for children, especially social-emotionally. My daughter is very attached to her teachers and can learn from them without a new adjustment period each year. They are excellent teachers who have lots of training.

Cooperative learning with other students of different ages, free play time and working on long term projects really helps the children learn these vital skills. We have seen none of the bullying we had at public school, the staff all demonstrate and encourage these character traits.

The leadership is very knowledgeable and approachable. They know each student and care about them, and the students know and love them too. The provide a wonderful structure for the staff, students & families.

We love The Garden School. If I could create my ideal school it would look just like this. It has been a huge blessing for my daughter & my family and I highly recommend it to everyone.

We have seen this with our own children and how they handle each situation and child as it best suits them.

I haven't seen any and I feel it is because of the strong emphasis of the children working together at different ages as well as teaching them to respect one another.
Posted: January 24, 2018
We have seen all of these characteristics change for the better since our children have attended The Garden School. We feel it has to do with the mixed classes of different ages making them help one another and work together, a lot of outdoor time, and attention to each child.

They events seem to be coordinated properly. School and other events are well thought out and communication is very good with the parents.

There is no homework for kindergarten and we feel it is best for our children at this age because they are still growing and learning more about their bodies. We agree in delayed academics for our children as we have seen so many benefits from it.

They are loving, nurturing and attentive to each child.

I love The Garden School and so do our 2 children (3 and 6)!! It has helped them gain more independence, imagination, love of being outside, respect of others, awareness of themselves, and so much more! I have seen so many benefits to the Waldorf philosophy that they follow for our children. It is an experience you cannot get in any other school as the kids get to be outside almost all day or as much as possible. Due to the mixed classroom with different ages I have seen how our children get along so much better and how my oldest wants to help out more. I am looking forward to many more years here!

I have four children attending this school, with two more little ones that will go as soon as they are able. The Garden is absolutely the best school experience our family has ever been a part of. My children love the outdoor experience they get and the teachers make every effort to meet each child where they are, both intellectually and emotionally. And I appreciate the wonderful sense of community that is fostered among the families.

The Garden School is amazing. My daughter loves going to school everyday. I considered homeschooling, until I found this school. I am so glad that I did. The teachers and staff are wonderful and take the time to ensure that the children are loved and cared for while they are given the freedom play and learn.

Wonderful school with caring teachers, small class size and individualized instruction. My child has grown positively in every way, developmentally and personally. Lots of outdoor time and the freedom to learn through discovery and play!
