I am in high school now, but I went to Parkview for 6th and 7th grade and had a terrible experience with the administration. The counselors are highly biased, one-sided, and constantly get involved in personal matters that happen outside of school where they don't belong. Instead of trying to help, the principal and counselors try to solve situations without gathering all the facts or listening to all sides of the story. They create problems out of nothing instead of focusing on what actually happens during the school day. some of the teachers were really supportive, but some other ones picked on students, and I was necessarily one of them, for example, a teacher I had gave everybody a chance to do something that we were only able to do once in a lifetime, except for me specifically because she had some kind of grudge against me and I wasnt even a bad kid. I was more of a quiet kid. I would not recommend this school since this has happened to me. My parents said that none of my little siblings are going to this school either. This school ruined my older siblings school experiences along with my first middle school experience too. It all started with this school. No one in my family will be attending this school ever again.

Really live this school. We come from Des Moines schools and what a breath of fresh air. This is our 2nd year with my oldest at Parkview. Loved the prior principal. My child is excelling.

My first child attended Parkview two years ago and my second just started this year. Teachers are outstanding. A great community. Principal goes out of his way to connect with us. Love the counselors and nurse. We have had a great experience so far.

Extremely poor communication. Conflicting information routinely given if any given at all. Supposedly emails go to all addresses in Infinite Campus, but only 3/5 are received.

Some teachers have clear bias against differently-abled students and ignore required interventions.

Better than DMPS but that is not saying much. Elementary experience in Ankeny was wonderful. Parkview Middle has been a tremendous letdown.

Very involved with parents and helping our children thrive and succeed. I don't regret putting them there. Could use some more diversity to build tolerance for different walks of life. My child has made great friends that i'm sure will build lasting memories. My child has gotten great grades and learned not just sat in a class to be babysat.
