The teachers do there best to assist students with WIN (What I Need). I would say that sometimes not all students are challenged enough.

The new principal seems to have a vigor for school. He does a great job with his weekly emails and informing parents about what is happening at school. Also, the school Facebook page helps keep parents informed.

I am not sure about this. I think they could improve on challenging students that are above average.

My child like most other children gets bullied. I feel that the issues get rectified immediately and resolved before I have to go in myself.

Overall, the principal is gregarious and does a great job maintaining a presence. The teachers are well informed on educational curriculum and instruction. I would like to see more about WIN groups in what comes home.

The bullying is out of hand because the principal is very condescending and self-absorbed, she pushes the teachers to be really hard on the kids.

Overall, I have had a very bad experience with my child at this school. If you have a child with special needs, such as; ADD, ADHD, stay away because this school is number 1 in the Southeast Polk district to have bullying issues, and I am not talking about the students, mostly the Principal and some of the teachers.

They aren't patient with kids and are bullies themselves. They are known to redshirt and hold kids back without a parents' consent. What I have witnessed they are not friendly people, especially the Principal.

While there are few great teachers there. The person who claims to own and rule the school, children and teachers needs to retire and stay away from children or any human being. Do yourself and family a favor do not move into the area if it means sending your children to this school. If you have to move into the area please consider homeschooling, transfer schools or private school. I sat during a meeting with this person and when 3 different people who tested the child, their parents, and counsler said "the child is very smart and doesn't need to repeat" THIS person said it was their school and they would do what they want-- and did it while the child was on Summer vacation. This person takes the term REDSHIRT to a new level. (meaning they hold children back to make their record look good-- or throw the kids under the bus) PLEASE PLEASE reconsider sending your children. The damage this person has done to our family and many many others is a silent crime that is doesn't end very well.

One of the best of the SEP elementary schools. Also, very safe to walk to and home from here.
