Excellent school. My kids get a couple amazing teachers each year and maybe one lackluster teacher. The rest are quite good. They are safe, no bullying, amazing orchestra and coding classes. When I have had to talk to counselors or teachers because of an issue they have been very responsive. It's a nice size also, the kids have found great groups of friends and don't have a problem getting on the math team or leading other clubs. It is not super competitive, it's more supportive.

They don’t believe ASD exists. They think you can punish kids into being cured

There is no voice. The administration is constantly contracting itself. What you hear as the schools stance changes with who you talk to

Horrific, they may be ok with average kids. Complete failure with special needs. If your kid needs an IEP get a lawyer on retainer to enforce ot

I didn't always go to Buffalo Grove. I actually used to go to wheeling, great school, but when I transferred I soon realized that wheeling and BG are completely different schools, and not in a good way. In wheeling I felt cared for and believed that the school was truly respectful to my family's financial situation. Sadly, at BG I felt shunned, not because I was new but because of how the school was not welcoming at all. All my teachers stereotyped me for going to wheeling for freshman year. They treated me like an outcast, I felt like an outsider for most of my highschool career. I really wish I could have stayed at Wheeling because truthfully I felt more confident and cared for there, I felt like I matter at Wheeling.

The teachers here and very lazy. Most acted as if my questions were meaningless and refuses to offer help or explanation. I did not feel comfortable in this school because it seemed like the teachers were singling out certain people. I often got criticized for not being able to pay for field trips or school supplies.

No one takes action in this school. I feel like most bullying cases, including my own, were not handled with care and instead they acted like it was a burden and wanted to burry all cases of bullying away.

Worst school I have ever attended. With the teachers it's a hit or miss you either get a really good one or an awful one. The biggest issues there are is the attendance office, lack of communication between the different offices and between staff, the deans, discipline. When you fall behind instead of being helped to get back on track the deans enjoy pushing you further behind. They will suspend you for no reason which will cause you to not be able to turn in work or receive new work. No one is actually there to help you they just want to see you struggle. My dean has done nothing but make my experience at bghs absolutely and utterly miserable. They basically call your parents every time you blink because they have nothing better to do. The attendance office either dosent have a computer or dosent know how to use it considering when i get called out they fail to mark me excused. All the different offices and staff members do not communicate effectively causing lots of confusion all the time most likely because they are too lazy to walk 10 feet and speak to another staff member. Only person that has actually helped me ever is my counselor and even then he has limited power. Having opinions, ideas, and talking is not allowed. Overall awful and miserable place.
