Secure school, plenty of events to keep kids engaged, bus drivers are great, before and after care are good as well. Teachers are communicative and genuinely care for kids. School has a walking trail and play ground kids love on the weekend. The neighborhood around school is pretty awesome — which makes trick or treating and Christmas Light observations fun!

Moye is a great school, one of the best elementary schools in District 90. I am really perplexed at Great Schools rating of a 6 given it’s very high test scores of 9. Moye was rated an 8 when I moved here 3 years ago with very little change. They are rating Central higher, at a 7, with MUCH lower test scores and a similar equity and progress rating. Central has a higher progress rate at 45 percent vs 43 percent at Moye… but it is difficult to have a high progress rate when so many of your students test extremely well at the beginning of the year. Lesson: check the details behind Great School scores!

My daughter was transferred to Moye from another Dist 90 school due to her disabilities. Moye has been nothing but receiving and accepting of her. Teacher's, staff and the principals are caring, understanding and encouraging.

We have been at Moye for 3 years now. I have been very pleased with every aspect of this school. Mrs. Williams and Mr. Rudy have an open door and are always willing to talk about any issues. I have been able to volunteer on many levels from library, to Art, to PTO and room parent. The new district 90 superintendent is adament about communication and keeps parents informed. I would highly recommend Delores Moye elementary.

We are a military family. We had a horrible experience with an on base school for our son so when we found out we were moving to Scott AFB we looked at school districts before finding a home. We have truly been happy with Delores Moye Elementary. We had a 4th grader and two kindergarteners this year. We are extremely happy with the teachers and staff. Both the principal and asst principal are very friendly and you can tell the kids really like them. I volunteer a lot and I have enjoyed getting to know the staff and kids that are not my own. It makes you feel good to see them smile and wave or just say hello. I am not a fan of the Midwest but I am a fan of where we are at!!!

It is disappointing coming from a top rated school just as this to discover there are no computers or p.e. I was astonished. To further my astonishment my 6 year old received push in special ed, which is not offered here either. My alternative was no alternative. He just has to flail and we are hoping for the best since he did not qualify for full services. I am also upset by the lack of supervision of the kids when they let them out, they are able to just run out of the school, I caught my son talking to a man with a dog. It turned out to be a parent but what if it hadnt been! I made the school aware and it was a lackadaisical response. I always have to search for him scanning the front of the school feverishly with a pit in my stomach. I was also upset that they kept music instead of computers and p.e. At this elementary age they are not learning notes, etc. They do need to burn off energy for focus and health and interact socially through exercise and team work.

No P.E. or computers offered!!!! For some reason the district didn't know their budget at the end of the year and were at least able to hire back the music teacher and teachers aides Plus, refund 1/2 the registration fees. How does a district NOT know their budget? This blows my mind! Why not keep the full registration fee and hire the p.e. or computer teacher? Disappointing!!!!

We are a Military family who relocated here last year. This is our second year of attending Moye and it has been a wonderful experience. The parental involvement at this school is amazing and the staff are top notch!! The principal and assistant principal are so down to earth. The office staff are incredibly sweet and helpful in evry way they can be. Parental involvement is key to all of the programs at Moye and the PTO is so organized you can slip right into a meeting for the first time and know exactly what is going on in the school. All the teachers that my children have had in this school have been excellent! I never feel as though my questions go unanswered... they have all been addressed in record time. The facilities are newer than any of the other elementary schools in the area which is always a plus to have all the technological advantages the kids can have. All in all, our experience with Moye elemenentary has been a positive and amazing switch to where we came from prior to this school. I know that wherever my children may end up next they will be prepared for just about anything, because Moye doesn't miss a beat!!
