Alleman is back to providing the same high quality education for which they've been known for 76 years. They provide several AP and dual credit courses and have a resource teacher. The current administration is constantly making improvements to benefit the students, like curriculum enhancements, recent school safety upgrades, additional dual credit classes, and a zero tolerance policy for bullying. The teachers care about the future success of their students and smaller class sizes allow for that extra attention. Parents are kept in the loop through weekly communications. The alums are also informed through monthly emails. Graduates feel they are more prepared for college level homework and exams than their friends from private schools. The environment is pleasant and conducive to learning and I know the cost of tuition is worth every penny. I would not send my children anywhere else.

My envolvement with this school is as a parent and volunteer. I've found their ciriculum to be challenging and engaging. The staff and teachers are dedicated to their students and an effort is made to adhere to the religious principals of the Catholic church.

Alleman High School is a highly relational and engaged school. Student body is second to none and academics are on the rise as administration is continually adding to curriculum opportunities while remaining true to its values and strengths. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.

A bit on the heavy side. I'm not opposed to homework, but what I have seen is not all valuable. Some teachers assign busywork. I have seen work graded as an A as long as it takes up a whole page. It was obvious that the teacher did not read it as it was just song lyrics.

Alleman has some amazing teachers, but also some marginal ones. They have had some of their best teachers leave in recent years and have not found replacements that are up to par. They also seem to be hiring more frequently that other districts in the area which leads me to think that staff morale is not the best.

I find Alleman students to be very respectful. I believe they are not any different than other students in the area however.

Alleman is under new leadership - again. The new Chaplain and Principal are taking a hard line on religion and soft on academics.

As far as I am aware Alleman does not have classes or resources available to students with learning differences. I have had 3 students attend there over the last 6 years and have never seen or heard of this type of support.

There has been a lot of what appeared to be differences in opinion among the admin on how and what to enforce in the past. The current Principal is in her first year and it remains to be seen how she will deal with this issue.

I feel like Alleman has been slipping. I've had children attend the past 6 years and it is not the same school I went to 20 years ago. Most disappointing with the new administration is the unyielding approach to Non Catholics. They are not made to feel welcome. The Chaplin tells his students that if they are not Catholic there is nothing they can do to save their soul. This is a drastic departure from previous Chaplains. Alleman used to embrace all their students, regardless of religious affiliation.

The best days of my life were the days I spent at Alleman. Fifty years later, I appreciate my education, instructors, and graduating class of l961. Many of us are still in contact. My youngest son graduated from Alleman in 1983. He also loved Alleman.
