This place needs new management. Entire classes get punished if several students act out. Recess cannot be taken from 22 students because the “teacher” can’t control a few bad students. This school allows bullying and plays it off when brought up. The superintendent refuses to acknowledge issues, which is probably why this place is terrible. They won’t allow kids to wear costumes on Halloween. A school should not be anti children. Avoid this place if possible.

We can't say enough good things about DRE. We have loved our experience with this school and the staff that work there. Our children truly love going to school each and every day. I think any public school you attend will have their faults like school politics, lack of communication here and there, and even the random staff member that isn't on the top of their game for a particular day, we are all human after all. No school is perfect, but in our opinion, DRE is pretty close.

Although our children are still very young and homework is not yet required, their teacher has been a great help with giving us ideas on how we can reiterate lessons at home. She has done a fantastic job sending home fun work that can be completed with the family and keeps our children interested and engaged. They are able to come home and "teach" us what they are learning in the classroom.

Every teacher our children have had while at DRE have shown a genuine interest in them. They care not only what is happening in the classroom and academically, but also about their everyday life. They check in when they are ill, send frequent updates about their day, and have a real impact on their education.

Each month DRE encourages students to focus on a particular habit/skill that helps to build their character. The students can be seen practicing these skills within the halls, classroom, and playground. They are recognized often for inhabiting these skills that show integrity in their schoolwork, compassion with classmates, and respect for all those around them. Because these habits are encouraged daily throughout the school, they are then transferred to the home where parents can continue to nurture these character building skills.

While we are going through a change in administration, the integrity of DRE is solid. The leadership can be felt throughout the entire staff at this school.

At DRE you immediately feel like family. They believe in building each other up, not tearing others down. Students are taught to stand up for one another not against, speak and act kindly towards everyone, and develop skills that help identify their own emotions and how to manage them.

We moved to this area especially for the school district. From day 1 it's been a fantastic learning environment for my oldest child. They do so well and I honestly couldn't have picked a better school. I feel safe sending my child to school and I am very happy with the communication part of all staff. All staff are friendly and professional. 5 stars are not enough to describe how great this school is!

This is a good school if your child is average. If you have an exceptionally bright child or a child with any learning difficulty, good luck! This is the least compassionate group of people I have ever seen and I have lived in many places.

This El school realy knows how to teach with fun hands on lessons. I know my child will be safe when their is a tornado or a fire.

While there are some great teachers who love our children, there is some internal politics in the school that is damaging to our children's overall education. I have found the communication with parents to be poor. I strongly feel that the programs are more important than the individual achievement of our kids. There is a determination to not allow the kids' education get in the way of being the model for expeditionary learning. I would hesitate before putting kids in this school.
