Expect not understanding and rude 'directress.' She is disrespectful, gives mixed messages. It doesn't seem like she communicates well with teachers nor the parents. I sent my kids more than two years and had some troubles with the directress and pulled my child out of the school. E-mailed the school about the problem, but nobody responded. No one called, apparently no one cared. I am so glad I pulled her out. We were totally ignored and I hope nobody will experience what we experienced.

In both the early childhood and elementary programs, we have been very pleased with the academic, social, and emotional growth of our children in this school environment. The teachers are not only experienced and certified in the Montessori Method, they also regularly engage in professional development to continually bring out the best in themselves and in their students. Their deep understanding of child development is evident in everything they do. They are caring, knowledgeable and highly invested in helping each individual child reach his or her fullest potential. For us, there is no better place in Baton Rouge for the preschool through 5th grade years.

I have a very positive review for this school. My daughter took two years of Pre-K (at ages 3 and 4) here and my son is currently enrolled in his first year of Pre-K ( at age 4.) My daughter thrived in the Montessori environment lead by two wonderful teachers Erin and Leigh. She was able to work at her own (advanced pace) to prepare for Kindergarten at the Lab School and was very prepared for success. My son is off to a great start this year, even though he did seem to have the same "self starter"/Montessori mind of my daughter. He is learning his standard school lessons, as well as self-control, manners, concentration, etc. I am very pleased with Montessori in general and also with this school and its teachers. I would recommend it!

I do not reccomend this school. The principal does not handle disciplining situations well. Pre school and kindergarten is fine, though.

I have 2 kids in the school, 6 and 8 years old. They are in the school for 2 years. We come from Belgium, I also had my kids studying in a school in Brazil ( I have 4 kids) and I can tell with no doubt that this is school is the best that my kids ever attended. They arrived in USA speaking nothing of English. They were speaking perfectly after just some months after they began to attend this school. They never felt behind the other kids, never felt insecure. They love to read, to learn and go to school. They are self confident. Teacher are great, they are respectful with the kids, they understand their development, their differences, their time. This school totally met our expectations as parents on its emotionally ant intellectually work with our kids. We'll probably will have to come back to Belgium in some years and I feel sorry that my youngest one (2 years old now) will not be able to attend this school for a long time like the others. I love this school, and it was one of the best things we had here in Baton Rouge. Parents of other kids are great; open minded people.

La Printaniere is an exceptional school. My daughter has learned far beyond what I would have imagined for pre-K. More importantly, she loves to go to school. She is challenged, but not pressured. She is nurtured, but encouraged to be independent. I cannot say enough positive things about her teachers. Five stars have been earned!
