I've always been told that private (Catholic) schools don't offer IEP's or any programs for students with learning disabilities. St. Michael's works with students with learning disabilities.

There ARE cliques at this school, just like at any, but from my personal experience, these students are some of the most polite, kind, respectful and courteous I've encountered. Really.

Parent involvement is expected and I appreciate that. The teachers are very involved and nurturing. This is a phenomenal school: co-ed; so much active, extra curricular sports & club activities (the parking lot is still full at 4 in the afternoon!). If you want to send your child to a school where they can get a great education, build strong character, and have a true, high school experience, this is your choice. My child loves it.

I am a parent of a 9th grader at SMHS. I have found the school academics challenging and more improvements are on the way. My child has advanced classes and enjoys the school. Athletics are great as well as the coaches. It's a very down to earth welcoming community.

St. Michael offers an excellent curriculum and a wide variety of sports and other clubs. There is truly something for every student that really applies his or herself. The alumni are very active in supporting the school and its athletic teams. School spirit and attendance at athletic events is fantastic. As a student who takes the maximum amount of Honors and AP courses I can say I feel very prepared for college. These courses are challenging and have really pushed me to the limit. The faculty genuinely care about the well being of the students.

Excellent curriculum and extremely dedicated teaching staff. Plenty to offer in the way of sports and clubs. Excellent test scores. The best!

I had attended Saint Michael after transferring from Catholic High. I loved it. The education I received was top notch. The student body was active in extracurricular activities and it was genuinely an enjoyable school.

St. Michael has been an excellent choice for my daughter. The test scores are very good and the academic program is challenging. She has felt at home since her freshman year. I, as a parent, appreciate the strict discipline policies and requirements. I feel the students are taught respect for themselves and others. Parents are very involved and there is a great amount of school pride. The school hasn't been around as long as some of the other high schools in town, but with time I think it will prove to be just as good.

My son is currently a senior and absoultely loves it. Teachers will help before and after school if he needs it.

Three of my children have attended/graduated from St. Michael. The faculty is exceptional. The academic program (especially the honors program) prepares the teens for a successful college experience. The band program under the direction of Dr. Andry is quite possibly the best in the city. The administration and faculty members are interested in each child on a personal level. I'm proud of the adults my children have become, and the staff at St. Michael is largely responsible. I only have kind words for this Catholic high school.
