My daughter had a great experience at this school. No complaints. Great principal. She was always so helpful.

There are not enough words to explain the disappointment in Bossier Parish Schools.

My child and I have had great experiences with Cope Middle School. The staff here is amazing! Ms. Grooms (principle) has been with the school for more than 30 years and has received numerous "Principle of the Year" awards. The band program is hands down the best in the area, and I would even argue the state. My son, who is not interested in too many extra-curriculars has flourished thanks to the guidance of Mr. Rabon. Additionally, the AP programs are top-notch as well. I highly recommend this school, as it has achieved beyond my expectations.

I currently go to cope middle school and it is one of the most disorganized schools Ive ever attented. One The lack of respect the teachers show children, the teachers I have teaching me are always calling out students for the most questionable reasons half of the time the child isn't even doing a thing id say most teachers bully the students verbally. The teachers make it really clear that they do not care about their job they are only there for the check. Education wise, the teachers will not give good direction on assignments they will throw an assignment and will not even explain what to do, all most of them say is "have it done before you leave the class and if you do not complete it come in during PE". Teachers also seem to give up easliy they just disapline the kids not try anything to make a student stronger just making them weaker, in class I have teachers seem to have no control of the students, I experience "kids being kids" but the teachers will just sit at their desk and watch it maybe say "stop" but do you really think they stop? no. they will throw paper in class arcoss the room, say something unplesent about you to one of their friends loud enough for the teachers to hear but most teachers don't react to try to stop it they just watch it happen, A situation that happened to me, a student put lotion on my seat I sat in it, one of the most humliating moments ever And this collides to the next topic of bullying its terrible ive been bullied alot and by the most favoritism treated kids. The kids whos parents have money, the kids who are on the sports teams, the kids whos parents know everyone at the school. Those kids are the kids with the MOST slack EVER they should be the ones that need to be watched out for but they are the ones execpted into everything and not questioned or held accountable for ANYTHING they are responsble for. A child who currently goes to the school has all of the advantages listed and is doing illgal things Ive recently got introuble for doing, my consequences was having my phone investigated and destoryed but the student who does and is doing the same thing I got in trouble for has been reported but NOTHING done about it. Former students ive talked to about what the child does feels the same way since the whole school knows his parents he will not recive consequences, what the student has been doing has been going on for years now. I do not recommend cope because they do NOT care about US , as students only their money.

As I look at the reviews here about Cope Middle School, I noticed that between the Year 2007 to 2014 the reviews are good. More recent views are showing a significant decline in the quality of education that Cope Middle School has portrayed. I from experience, agree that this is not a school that I would recommend. There are wonderful teachers here but the majority have made it very clear that they are only here to pick up a check. The lack of commitment, instruction and dedication to each individual child's education has been made very apparent. If you are looking for a quality substitute for a private school, I recommend you look elsewhere.

It's a really great school! My daughter loves the teachers and the environment. Principal Grooms is the most hands on principal that I've ever met and we've moved around a lot. Cope is very diverse, very hands on, and the teachers encourage the students to think outside of the box. These are all qualities that I look for when finding a new school.
