I was a former student of this school when things were better back in 2005 but I taught at the school for 2 years before I moved to Texas. There is a new principal and new staff members who are working hard to turn this school around. It's happening slowly but surely. Being part of the staff I seen how hard the teachers worked to make sure the students retain as much knowledge as they could. They are starting up STEM classes and other classes that the kids can take to further their learning. From teaching there one of the biggest problems were parent support for the school and for their children. This school is ranked bad but they are going in the right direction.

Child who doesn't live with us has NUMEROUS (38) unexcused absences, has at least 5 discipline records and is failing 5 or more classes and her father is being told she will still move on to the next grade.

Fights everyday, teachers don't care, you can pass this school just for bringing a pencil honestly. They just don't care what you do.

This school is just terrible. The teachers do not do their jobs, there are fights everyday, you can't even walk in the doors without hearing profanity. I seriously do not think I've ever heard a single person say they love or loved attending this school. My daughter absolutely hated it there. I took her out as soon as possible. WORST school in caddo parish. DO NOT send your children there.

Im wondering if there is another Huntington is Shreveport, because the Huntington I know is terrible........do not send your kid there
