I read a few articles which stated there is poor communication at Akili. I have never had this problem, I have always been able to reach out to my sons teachers. They actually call to much, the staff at the front desk is always friendly and the teachers are always willing to schedule a conference. Coach Carter is always motivating the students and Mr. Jimmy has gone out of his way to help the students. Great school. Coaches, teachers, custodians, security all truly care about the students.

DO NOT put your kids in AKILI Academy. Make this your NO Choice !!! The communication is poor concerning your child. The adminstition is not aware of the kids academic status. The teachers are not concerned and helping the kids succeed in the areas of opportunity. Poor organization!! If you are the parent that will reinforce(teach) the information to your child at home Akili is your school. They are ALWAYS on a break but get out later than most schools. If you read the post in prior years, these are the same concerns.
