The gifted program is great and your son or daughter gets low grades. The teachers contact before the report card marking to see how you could work out with them and your child to improve his grade They are very caring teachers that worry about their students. Best school any of my kids have ever been to. Any of my kids have ever been to

The gifted, great scholors, and talented programs are pretty good but its the traditional kids that put a bad reputation to the school. They constantly have fights and misbehave and as a consequence the whole school gets punished. But luckily the traditional kids are totally separated from all the rest on the kids so that does help a bit. Also if your in the gifted or talented programs you get great opportunities to take above middle school level classes. There are plenty of students taking algebra 1 and 2 and geometry. So if your looking for a school where you can be able to excel in above middle school courses than this school might be one of the best choices in the parish. (But again there are those rowdy traditional kids that make the school look bad). But honestly in my opinion it's not a bad school. Definitely not a Sherwood middle, but is pretty great compared to all the rest of the school in the parish.

This school is the worst school I've been in. If I were a parent I would never send my child here! These are the reasons why. Constant food fights The principle called us roaches In 6th grade a boy grabbed my breast and they did nothing about it Constant fights I know this because I WAS a student there but now I'm at McKinley Middle probably the best middle school in the area. If it wasn't for us gifted kids wining the awards Glasgow would have a D- overall school rating.

This school is great. I'm in 7th grade in the gifted program, and i have to say that this school is really improving. As a gifted student at Glasgow Middle School i am required to take a foreign language(Spanish, French, or Latin) and two electives. I chose French 1(high school credit course) as a foreign language and, since i have een identified as talented in the art field, I take talented art and i take Computer Science 1(high school credit course). The curriculum is fast paced and extremely fun. In math, I take Algera 2(11th grade math) so in 9th grade, I will e taking college course math. The staff is very copacetic and I just love it here!

Glasgow Middle school has two parts:traditional and gifted/great scholars/scholastic academy. It also has a talented art component. As a gifted student, i was able to take algebra 1 in 6th grade (you take a math placement test before the school year begins. Glasgow Middle has great teachers who actually want to teach. I give this school 5 stars

This school displayed a very unprofessional attitude towards me on my childs first day of school.I was given a run around on my childs whereabouts, which told me they had no idea where she was.I was very frantic and upset because there was only one person in the office trying to help me locate my child.point is adults dropped the ball and would not take responsibility for their actions.
