Each school is different and has different challenges, but this school tries to build an sense of community and do whatever it takes to engage families and students. The dedication to get these students through school and to higher education is truly commendable. The only way forward is through education and our youth!

Mission Hill campus is everything and more that I imagined it would be. My child is challenged here more than any school hes attended. I cant wait for my other kids to attend.

My son is in the graduating class of 2024. His first two years in school were abnormal because of Covid and Zoom classes, so I'll discuss his last 2 years at the Nubian Sq campus of Roxbury Prep.

We worried he'd not feel comfortable talking to teachers, because he's shy, but, as it turned out, he has been quite involved and has challenged his teachers to explain everything until he understood. They made communication easy and inspired him to work hard and stay focused.

The faculty, some of whom have worked in admissions at colleges & universities, guided him through the application process and he was ultimately accepted into the elite college of which he'd dreamt. This is a unique level of experience I've never seen in a high school before.

His teachers are responsive, willing to talk to us whenever, if ever, we have questions. I have the utmost respect for how they've treated my son.

We are so grateful to his teachers and the administration for the confidence they instilled in him. This is a true college preparatory school. I wish this level of care was available to every student.

Roxbury Prep is an excellent School. All the teachers and staff are so professional, respectful, supportive, and motivate their students to learn. You can always rely on staff or teacher's whenever you need any help or assistance for your child. My daughter starts from grade 1-12. She will be graduating in June 2024. She is an honor student. The school always informed you in advance by email, phone. or send messages in any events that occur at the school. I would recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to get a good education. The teachers will go far and beyond to help out students to achieve their gold especially students who are struggling in school. Roxbury Prep Keep up the good work.

Roxbury Prep Dorchester Campus is such an Amazing School! It, truly, is a college-prep school! My oldest daughter thrived at Roxbury Prep and now attends one of the exams schools, due to Roxbury Prep's style of teaching and preparing her. My middle daughter is, also, thriving tremendously, and went from an Honor Roll student to a High Honor (straight As) student! The teachers go above and beyond for your child/ren. The principal and staff are, truly, awesome and welcoming as well! I am proud to be a Roxbury Prep parent!

My son graduated from Roxbury prep in2010 now my grandson is going there. They discipline, they teach and they give home work.They prepare you for college they help with the paper work. They will do what ever it takes to make sure their students succeed. Uniform is a must. It is a wonderful school

One of the worst schools in Boston. It could be a good school if run by better people. The staff there dont communicate with parents at all and expect for the kids to do good if the parents arent aware of the wrongs theyre doing. As parents we should be aware so we can do spline the kids to be great and do better. Mr. Tim OLeary is by far the worst principal there he doesnt have kids so he dont understand the principals in communicating with parents of the wrongs the kids are doing. He doesnt train his staff well in communicating with parents as well. They just want to talk to the kids like they are there own and thats totally UNACCEPTABLE. As a mother I would like to know what my child is doing wrong not just the good things. How am I suppose to make her a better student if the teachers aint communicating. Please DO NOT send your kids to this school nobody there has kids and they wouldnt understand a parent at all. Worst school ever.

It breaks my heart to think of how the experience at this school will negatively impact students for the rest of their lives. This schools morals and ethics towards education is horrible. The students have no autonomy and are consistently made to feel stupid. They have little to no breaks and rarely have time to socialize and make necessary connections with teachers and their peers. There is no joy here. What they call accountability here is just another way to blame students for their frustration rather than acknowledging the systematic failures of their entire charter network. Students leave feeling that their unhappiness at school is their fault when in reality it is the creation of an uncaring and empty school culture. Please dont send your child here.

THIS SCHOOL IS BOMBARDING STUDENTS WITH LOADS OF WORK WITHOUT SUPPORT. TEACHERS ARE PASSIVE WHEN A CHILD IS STRUGLING SND FAILING.WE ARE 2 WEEKS AWAY FROM MI JUNE, AND THEY PRESENT NEW MATERIALS ON TOP UNINSTRUCTIONAL SUBJECTS- -WHEN A STUDENT IS 10MIN LATE after 8A.M.FOR AN EXAM, THEY RE-SCHEDULE FOR SO CALLED :MAKE-UP. WHEN I RAISE CONCERN. NO ONE IN THE ADMINISTRATION GETS BACK TO ME..TERRIBLE SCHOOL!!!!!

I would say my experience with the school has been a great one since my daughter left Boston Public School and started at the school she has made great great progress despite her learning disabilities. The communication between teacher and counselor and parents is amazing I love to receive phone calls on how my kid is doing whether good or bad. The numeric program to encourage kids to always do good and try their hardest is a very encouraging motivation for the students.

I have seen the change my son has made after entering this school and I am very happy!! They show them discipline, integrity, honesty and how to succeed to enter college and graduate!! What parent can't be happy with that?

I have to disagree with the comment below! My child is ADHD, he entered the school for the 2014-2015 school year with an IEP and finished with a 504. My child with his condition worked very hard and received much help from the teachers which he never received at other schools including Metco Lexington (rated top best school in MA) from which I removed him. His hardwork paid off, he made it to the honor roll and stayed in honor roll the whole year. I do believe that the school needs to be a little more lenient with kids who suffer from hyperactive behavior. Removing them from the classroom for anything can damage the way they look at themselves but then we as parents should also understand that the others kids needs to learn and teachers need to teach. I am very happy with the school, I have seen my son do things that he never did before at other schools, like the all A's and Bs which give him a sense of feeling proud. My son worked very hard and I know at times he says the school curriculum is a little hard but he manages to succeed and at the end he feels happy, proud, accomplished! Sometimes we have to push our children a bit to help them succeed in this cruel world, we have to work with the teachers to make this possible! not leave everything to them. Have a great day!!!

my son has attended this school since the day they open their doors. I was happy he got it, but after 2.5 years i have come to realize this school is not the right school for kids with ADHD or learning disability.. My child failing and yet he not getting the proper help he should be getting.. if you child is on an IEP or has a 504 plan this is not the school for you

My daughter has just finished her 3rd quarter of her 5th grade year at RPC. the Mission Hill campus is now 5-8th grade and there will be a HS that the students will be able to feed into in 2 yrs (2015-2016). there are so many positive things about this school it is hard to pick just one. the teachers are great with the kids and they are there for the students if they need extra tutoring help. the school is more academically rigorous than my daughters other school in JP, so she isn't as bored as she used to be. there is also much more discipline which is great because it keeps the kids on task and ready to learn. because the school gets some corp. funding they are able to give the students incentives to work their hardest. field trips for making honor roll are one way. the school isn't very ethnically diverse, and even though my daughter is a minority at RPC she has had far fewer instances of bullying here.i think one of the only things i would change doesn't even really involve the school. on the RPC website run by uncommon schools they compare the MCAS scores of RPC students to "MA white students"! Really? i thought we were trying to teach kids not to think like that!
