I am currently seeking a new school for both my children. My daughter is in 5th grade and my son is supposed to be starting at Glen the beginning of next year. I do not have many good things to say about this school. My daughter has been getting bullied since October and nothing is being done about it besides a meaningless “conflict resolution”. So now my daughter is scared to speak up because instead of the administration making their situation better, their lack of effort causes the bullying and harassment to become much worse. I have filed complaints with the school and the board of education. I would not and will not EVER recommend this school to anyone!

I notice that this school hasn't been Reviewed in quite some time by parents that actually have do deal with the school. This school has gone downhill quickly since my kids started attending in 2017. There a handful of teachers that are wonderful but your chances of getting them are not worth the risk of having a horrible school year with someone else. I am very saddened by the state of the schools in the county to the point of our family moving away this summer just to get a better chance for our kids to succeed. A 3/10 is not acceptable in my book. Covid has definitely changed things for everyone but it's not an excuse for what has happened. I'm not sure how they get the information that the classes that students per teacher are 10:1 because both of my kids have been in classes with over 20 kids each year. I'm not sure how often this is updated or how much stock you should put on the reporting data but from what I see listed on here currently with this school it doesn't seem to be accurate. It's very sad to see Wicomico county schools in the state that they are in.

I love Glen Ave. My son had Mrs. Seabrease and Murphy, both which were wonderful, beautiful ppl on the inside and out. I love the principal and the office staff. None have been rude or inconsiderate of me our my child. This yr, he was switched from two teachers classrooms and sent off to two others, and thank God, they did him a big favor. I love his teachers this year and feel grateful for the change. One of his teachers goes to church with us too and actually helped keep him focused in sunday school classes and helped with a major event in his life in the church. That was beyond her call of duty. I didn't realize she went to our church til she told me she sat in with him to keep him focused through that class that prepared him for that major event. She's just amazing. There's nothing I can buy for the end of the year to show my appreciation. I wish I could do something more or come up with some great idea to show them how much they mean to me and my family.
