Love this school! Most importantly, my kid loves this school. Teachers are very responsive, caring and always willing to help the student. Great curriculum and programs like orchestra, theater, etc.

I have experienced about the treatment with students is bad. The teachers/administrators don't know how to teach kids in a positive learning environment.

Definitely the worst school I have attended and I have attended 7+ schools. I am now a sophomore in college and still have nightmares about my three years here. The scores are high because the academic pressure is so emphasized and burdens students, causing perfectionism at a far too young age. The teachers were often harsh and disrespectful especially to students who didn’t learn as quickly. The social environment is also severely flawed, cliques are big and full of gossip and manipulation. almost everyone hates each other and socially sabotages people. Theres also a lot of ableism and racism as well as sexism. The academic side is high quality but there are so many other schools in the hoover area that can get you similar education without all of the horrors that hoover will give. The counselors are also atrocious and made everything exponentially worse for me.

The kids at this school are quite racist and homophobic, however, that is changing. As for daily life, bullying is normal and homework is abundant. Most children (including me) here don't want to learn. Some teachers try to make learning engaging, but most just try to shove knowledge into our brains. This schools says it is in support of mental health, and it does sometimes do a good job, but the amount of homework it gives says otherwise.

Pretty good school, teachers though are either really conservitive and will go on rants about how being gay is a sin, or really nice. Kids are somewhat racist and most are extremily homophobic. (the county itself does not really care about minorities, specificly gay and trans people) Counsellers are nice enough, but always seem like they just don't want to be there. At the school they mostly focus on reading and math, nothing else. Also it is mostly rich vs poor, and poor kids are constently bullied and good luck making friend if you are not rich. 3/10 stars.
