All three of my children attended. They achieved in academics and in sports. One dance teacher (that got fired) was a bad example, as she drank during a dance competition on her lunch break and left us two parent chaperones with the kids) but we reported her and she got fired. Otherwise, it was the BEST education and my children exceeded well to achieve scholarships and great jobs! Seems the only people complaining, are BAD students, who can't even spell and probably didn't make it thru, lol. High standards aren't for everyone

My son went to NEHS. We are very pleased with this school. It has exceeded our expectations.

There school isnt clean and tsa staff will yell at you just to tell someone to stop and teachers dont leave you alone when youre mad they will touch your shoulder and rub it and say youre okay when youre not the counselor doesnt do anything except tell you to push through and people are smoking in the bathroom and no ones doing anything to stop them and its not worth going here one star

The school lacks opportunity for anyone who cares about their future. Outside of sports, extracurricular activities are practically nonexistent and barely funded. Administration barely cares about helping kids to succeed and many administrators have biases towards certain students and will let them act any way w/ barely any consequence. Students that are consistently well behaved and staying on top of their grades are never rewarded, and all incentive goes toward misbehaved kids that do one thing right. This school has a huge vaping and drug problem, yet nothing is being done to combat it. Nobody gets in trouble when caught with substances, and nobody has the common sense to catch on when the same kids ask to leave to the bathroom every 30 minutes to further rot their brains and lungs with vapes. The environment is consistently negative and nobody takes the initiative to step up and change anything. Outside of mediocre education, the only thing this school has going for it is a strong community. School pride is the only thing this school can hold over any other school, and spaces like sports teams have tight-knit communities. However, I feel that the school environment is still toxic and hateful if you don't fit in to a certain group, if your family makes less money, if you genuinely care about education, etc.

My son is a freshman at Northeast this year. My son is getting the support he needs, and teachers have reached out if they have had any concerns or when they wanted to let me know when he has improved in something he has struggled with. He is taking advantage of the CAT North Tech School option to learn a trade as well as get extra help during flex periods.

if only people knew what goes on in this school you should not send your kids here the reason why the smoking problems are really bad the teachers grade poorly they don't even try to understand people who are more challenged and they the want respect but don't respect the kids at all there is so many unprofessional teachers.fights almost every week and kids that are walking around high of whatever they took its sad and they don't give a sh*t and mental health.and some of the admin target certain kids while others get away with whatever the hell they want. and the board of education keeps saying they are gonna come check the school out to see what there is so many complains but nope they have not and this school tries so hard to make it look so good when its really a school from HELL .

I went to this school for my freshman year and now I am moving and it is going to be hard to say good bye because I have made so many new friends and the teachers make school a little more fun and they will help you if you need it. My favorite part about this school was my math and gcc teacher they made me want to go to school even through i was a little cranky most days. The only bad things is the boots bathroom room is most likely dirty but the janitors do there best

As a Severna Park Alum '97......
Northeast is a great school, as are many AACO schools. I had always believed the Severna Park Hype....and there are certain things that are better.....and there are things that aren't as good. We are glad we decided to stay in Pasadena.

The teachers and administrators always highlight respect for self, others, and learning. They've taken their initials, NHS, and rebranded them as standing for Nobility, Honor, and Success.

The teachers know the students by name, and not just the ones in their classes. The teachers are available throughout the day and after school for any students who need extra help.

The teachers actually know the students. They are available for extra help if needed. The school itself has been remodeled and upgraded. It looks terrific, and the students and staff take pride in their campus. Of course there are problem students, just like at any school. But the administration addresses issues promptly and effectively. All three of my kids have been there, and we're more than satisfied.

Daughter now on the Dean's list at TSU her first semester. This school has been upgraded to the Max. New Learning Resource Center/Technology, new turf fields, new Science wing and much more! Had some teacher issues; but don't we always when we have a headstrong, motivated and emotional teenager. All in all, she's more prepared than most. Still, parental involvement is the key to your child's success.

NEHS breeds bullies. Teachers find it challenging to teach because the students control the classroom. I have volunteered in GFMS (Middle) and been a shadow on NEHS due to students making it impossible to learn. I shadowed my kids on more than a few occasions, and I can understand why the teachers are challenged to share knowledge. The synergy from the students negative behavior is clearly visible. As a patent I feel the peer pressure when I am in school... As if the kids in the school are like hawks waiting to devour prey! If you can enroll your child in a different school, I would highly recommend that you do that... U less you can keep you child from wanting friends. Friends at this school come at a cost! Past years have caused a police officer to act on instincts die to behavioral issues! Fire alarms being pulled as pranks, and kids stealing from each other. Good luck to kids and teachers at this school... I can't wait to get my daughter out! Just a parent who is tying to raise good Chinese hard working citizens in our country... This school makes it tough...
