As a 4th generation alumni of Liberty High School, I was proud to pass that tradition on to my child when they started school. I felt like all schools have issues like bullying or high teacher/student ratios, but even as the class size gets larger, kids still feel important and as part of a great institution. I still live in the area and it makes me happy to see good things coming from LHS.

I love Liberty High School so much! My daughter has learned so much and nothing bad I feel ever occurs . She’s working in an amazing environment.

Liberty High School grew a lot in the three years that I was there. Every one if the teachers in the school was there to help you you and grow into a mature adult.

Terrible school if your child has special needs and requires a 504 plan or IEP. Overall the school either does not know how to help special needs kids or they just do not want to. There are some great individual teachers and then there are some terrible ones. And the administration seems like their mission in life is to make sure they help kids the minimum amount possible. I have been told many times that they are "too busy" to properly help my child, that they have too many students. Most seem to have learned their special needs knowledge from a text book and refuse to apply it individually to your childs needs. Or thyley blame my child and act like he/she is lazy since they are unable to successfully address my child's issues. I'm sure this school seems find if you only have typical kids.

My child attended Liberty schools for 7 years and graduated a valedictorian. She was in the "Peak" program which was challenging and had very good teachers. She graduated with 28 college credits due to their great AP class offerings. The school offers many sport, club, and academic opportunities. The school system as a whole is very good but we were not impressed with the principal, Dr. Adams. The principal at Liberty North, Dr. Jacobs, is great and he was at LHS before the new high school was built.

Liberty High School I think the staff could use improvement my children are driven and the counselors discouraged them from AP classes asking them if they were sure they could do them. What? I thought educators were there to support not question. Numerous occasions I have had to call teachers and or principal about actions or lack of teaching a subject. My daughter was being tutored by older brother in math because she wasn't getting instruction at school. The teacher didn't have time to answer everybody's question. I really think alot of teachers nowdays have the holier than thou attitude and they really don't want to put much effort into their job as long as they get benefits and pay. The whole district with the 1-4 rating is STUPID because they don't want anyone to feel LESS THAN. My son had learning problems and I got him extra help and now he excels in Math and science both and swims and is doing well. It was through my efforts of keeping him on track and when a teacher said they didn't think he could do something I didn't listen.

The experiences and worldy opportunities that are opened up to LHS students is hands down amazing ! Well rounded, not over crowded now that North has opened up, good teacher pupil ratio make huge difference and LHS definitly maintains this balance. If you have a kid that is proactive in their forward propulsion of their education they will do well. Also, if you have a child that takes a little more prodding or patience the teachers do a fantastic job at this too. I've seen teachers work many off hours and give lots of hours of extra assistance to pupils who need it. However, if you have a child that sits back and expect to learn from osmiosis, puts in minimal effort and lacks parental educational involvment whatsoever then honestly, even a the best teacher cannot be expected to work miracles. I say that because I notice some people think the educational process is 100 % on the teacher and if their kid shows up for class and doesn't try that somehow thats the schools fault... Not so... Teachers in the LIberty School District are top notch. Ive been in a student and/or parent in 4 different school districts and I can assure you Liberty Public Schools are among the best !

It's a great school if your child is average or above. Special needs teens and parents are discouraged from 504's and IEP's. Some organizational leaders are really organized and know how to encourage parents to get involved. Others are challenged to delegate, so you have no idea what is needed for an event. There is a lot of 'family' tied into the staff (husband & wife) and student body (parent teacher & student). Most of the teachers have Missouri college educations. Few are from out of state or country. The schools in MO are not state funded, so not every school is academically the same. Liberty is considered a good school in the state, but is not US News represented in the best high schools ranking. If the school benchmarked successful special needs programs and volunteer programs that really DO work, along with having key personal to help high ranking programs, like AP classes, continue to build, I think Liberty HS could be a great model for other schools to follow.

Super Schools! With my kids' all in three different buildings no complaints. Home town is great. Community is awesome.
