Former North Kansas employee Dennis Hernadez was indicted for filming child **** at North KC elementary schools. Briarcliff was listed as one of the schools he subbed at for 4 years. He was also a staff member at Adventure Club, a before and after school program.

Clardy Elementary has always been amazing and demonstrates excellence to all areas of education. During this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Clardy Principal Dr. Coy, my son's 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Brandt as well as all the teachers/staff members at Clardy, with out hesitation went above and beyond to ensure that education remains first. The news of possible school closer was mentioned the week before spring break, Mrs. Brandt sent home materials and information for online lesson plans for continuing education incase of school closure. My son is continuing his education at home with is IPAD and materials that were provided to him by the school. They also set in place meals to be delivered to his bus stop. During a time of high stress and high concerns I don't have to stress over my son's education because of the tremendous efforts and organization of the Clardy Elementary staff. Clardy Elementary is a wonderful example of caring and compassion towards education. They excel above and beyond time after time. We're proud to be in the Wildcat family! Thank you Clardy!

I have two children currently attending Clardy Elementary and I could not be happier. The front office staff are always very friendly and efficient. I enjoy their interaction when I go to school to join my children for lunch. Additionally, I am especially comforted with the security measures they have in place. Also, the nurse is very patient and compassionate with the students. The teachers are excellent! We communicate often and they are very instrumental in the success, academically as well as promoting positive social development, of each individual student. My children have enjoyed each year at Clardy since they "graduated" from Gashland. I would recommend Clardy whole-heartedly to anyone seeking an excellent school. The "Clardy Scholar" program recognizes students for excellence in achievement and behavior, aiming to increase student performance, increase school attendance and promote positive attitudes. Clardy is an A+ school. THE WILDCAT WAY: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe!

Most of the teachers are capable, caring, show interest in their students and want them to excel. The office staff does not foster parental involvement and is a major reason for my low rating of this school. I have had 2 children attend this school (and 1 child in a different district) and the contact with the office staff's behavior is a major factor in my low scoring. Because I have had experience with other school districts I can state with certainty that this school is below average.

We have 2 children currently at Clardy. Our oldest also went there but is now in middle school. Never had any problems with any staff. The kids love it there. During the fall and spring the PE teachers hold a running club one night a week. Its a great little school. There is a new principal this year and she seems to be really involved and making some great changes.
