This is the worst school I been to in my 9 years of school. kids here to drugs and pass out in school bath rooms, fights daily every week, teachers are racist, and teachers would touch me without my consent. The Principal and teachers are bias and don't give teachers their punishments. Don't send your child here

Overall, we have been very happy with PHS HS. They have programs that set conditions for our children's success, specifically STEM programs, AP, and athletics. Always recommend Park Hill School District schools to those moving into the KC area

Overall negative. Too many issues. This school is not equipped to deal with different children. Im sure if youre rich & powerful then youll have a fine time at this school. Any abnormal children will not thrive here. Only normal kids.

The block scheduling is good. Its hard to play catch up if you get behind though.

Some of the administration doesnt know how to follow protocol. Sometimes poor communication.

Too concerned with their great rating. Sometimes it feels like theyre handing your child off to someone else.

Park Hill South staff and administration continues to show strong and valiant efforts in teaching each and every student. Teachers show a lot of passion, and many are also involved in coaching sports - which is something I find to be very important to help increase the relationships between their students and players. The music department is filled with high-class instructors. Though it does not have a set "honors" program, it offers many AP, dual credit, and accelerated classes to challenge students. Staff is unbiased based on race, gender, ethnicity, etc. and are eager to teach the future!!

We just moved here at the beginning of the 2014-15 school year. My daughter came in as a Sophomore. The teachers are awesome and helpful. The new drama teacher is very talented and amazing (Mr. Lackey). The music dept. is wonderful, as well as the Art Dept. Our daughter is making straight A's at this school and has made life long friends. We have only wonderful things to say about this school. The librarian, Barb, is so kind and helpful. Our daughters' adviser, Sandy, is very competent and has become a friend to our daughter. It is a very clean, safe, and welcoming environment. There are rich, middle class, poor kids here and all get the same treatment and education from the admin and teachers. So So So glad we moved here!!!!

Our experience at PHS has been awful. Though my kids earn great grades and have been involved, our move here has resulted in sharp declines in grades and attitudes. In attempting to work with the school on these issues, we have been treated very poorly. The counselor was rude and incompetent, failing to follow up repeatedly. Attempting to reach a principle proves challenging. Here, their policies are more important than students and parents. We're looking for ways out of here.

I currently attend park hill south and I absolutely hate it. Most of students are very rich who go there and they sure do show it off. I've heard a lot from other students taking about doing drugs and partying. It's not a good school. Also some of the staff members are very rude.

Park Hill South is quite possibly the best high school in the kc mo area. I went to a different school as a freshman and started at south as a sophomore and just graduated this spring. I can honestly say that the academic standards at this school are excellent; the teachers are great and really want to help you learn, and there is plenty of opportunity to get help if you need it. I was also fortunate enoughto be part of the music department in both band and choir, and they were absolutely phenomenal. Honestly: South's Symphonic Band is one of if not the best high school bands in Missouri.

this is an excellent, well funded school. which makes a HUGE difference in the level of education. I'm so impressed with this school as well as the fact that it is a respected school in our community.

i went to this school last year and i hated it! i needed some extra tutoring or a class to help me out since i was so far behind. the counselor told me they had no classes like that for me because i was not a freshman. i felt very out of place there and the other students could be very harsh. i felt like the teachers were not interested in me because my level was not where all the other students in my class was. if your a student coming to the school in the middle of a year it may be hard on you as for me.

I am a freshmen at this school, I am average person, not rich or poor, and this is a great school, The Freshmen Mentoring Program is a great tool for aiding freshmen such as myself, the teachers are attentive, interactive, and, assisting to all of their students. Cliques are no worse than friends talking in the hallways. Upper class men don't i repeat DON'T harass lower class men. Race issues are limited to what I have seen so far. Some fights have broken out but nothing on even a monthly basis.

I think this is the BEST school my child has been to. I see nothing but care and concern for the kids here. There is a lot of pride at this school too. I will struggle to keep my child in this school.
