Horrible school. Zero communication. They do have some amazing teachers, sadly leadership is lacking.

, KIPP was a TRIP! I got hired. The staff I worked with was pretentious, impressed with themselves and I felt more like a warm body filling a slot. I have taught before and am used to my own teaching style. The scripts on how to talk to the "urban" kids sounded like dog training. KIPP was definitely not for me! If I could do one hundred reviews on KIPP, it still would not describe the type of boot camp style training I had. Yes, I am all for teaching and the student coming first, but KIPP will continue to have a high turnover of employees with this rigorous style and NO consideration that teachers have family and a life outside of work. KIPP has an underline reputation of paying the candidates well to reel them in, then working them like crazy. Not joining KIPP was the best decision I have made in a while.

Great school that encourage all of the children to strive for college. My daughter is only in the sixth grade, and has chosen to go to Stanford. I love that she is is being encourage to show her intelligence. While not focusing on her ADD.

Please don't send your child to Kipp Inspire Academy if your child has any type of behavior problem.. I repeat Kipp Inspire Academy is not the place for your child. In my opinion, the teachers are not equipped to deal with children with behavior issues.

This school has taught my sons so much about character traits that are important in becoming a sucessful adult.Their push of going to college helps them to understand how important the decisions they make now will impact where they can go in the future.

Good Teachers overall...a few duds(Social Studies and a Math) Like the homework process and the curriculum content. Parental involvement lacking but little is done to actively reach out to parents...often depending on students to carry notices home. A child that will do well at any school, will do well here. A child struggling/average will find communication and support lacking unless you are a major advocate. Teachers can be contacted in the evening. Few reach out unless it is a behavior issue....not on academic issues. I went to one parent conference to find the info completely wrong that was delivered...days absent, work turned in, reasons for performance..it was corrected. The Teachers/Assistants do not always act as role model behavior...refer to kids in negative terms and use slang terms to describe a child. The teaching staff as a whole is better than the prevailing school district and the Principal is a strong advocate for his teachers, parents, and kids. I do not like the office telephone situation... most times you leave a msg..sometimes they fail to return call. After school activities and special projects are good. Not a bad choice but not stellar.

As a newer school they still have a few kinks to work out. However the school is great! It is not for everyone so if you and your child are not willing to put in the work this is not the school for you. For parents and children that are will and want to put in some hard work the will get an excellent education.
