My child would not be going here any more. She use to learn she wasnt getting any home work everything is based on a popularity contest I like the old principle they had. They cant get her bus right. He pick up time nothing

My experience at Hope Leadership Academy has been nothing but great. From the Principal to the staff to the culture of the school as a whole. The teachers care for their students and they go above and beyond. The principal has always been available to speak to me whenever I've asked. I can say that the negative review is not the norm. Hope is a great school and has always been. I have my youngest there, my oldest was there since kindergarten and now is a 6th grader. I have nieces and nephews there as well. Schedule a visit to see for yourself. The principal welcomes visitors and tours.

I can't say enough good things about Mr. Saunders. He greets the students and parents at the door in the morning, he's always inviting parents to eat breakfast with their student if they have time. He has always been willing to listen and meet when I've requested. There have been times that I didn't agree with a situation, but Mr. Saunders took the time to hear my concerns, he throughly explained the situation and his rational. I can't ask for anything more. I don't expect everything to go my way, but I do expect to be able to meet the administration and be heard. Mr. Saunders has always done that.

They're a trauma sensitive school and uses restorative justice to teach students to own their actions and provide preventive measures. My son has gotten so much better at understanding and owning his behavior.

I have direct access to them via their cell phone numbers, they greet my child every morning with a smile and hug. The environment/culture is warm and inviting.

The schools homework policy is not to assign busy work for students but productive work. My youngest has books they send home with him and we read together for 15 minutes. Whereas my 6th grader has all this busy work that takes him 2 to 3 hours a night. My oldest is stressed out and isolated from the family because of the amount of homework every night.

You cannot develop honesty or integrity when the Principal lacks both qualities. If a student needs help or reports something substantial and life altering, you as an administrator better act and respond accordingly. Unfortunately, this is lacking at Hope Leadership Academy. My son experienced no hope or leadership, instead, he was hurt and begged to leave.

My son was assaulted by a classmate at Hope Leadership Academy and Mr. Saunders, the principal did nothing. He never contacted me about it and he never reported it. When I spoke with him about it, he showed no concern or care for my son. As a result, we put our son in a different school. This is alarming as a parent and saddening as well. The administration should protect its students and here they failed tremendously.

Principal doesn't want to spend money on paper to print out homework and uses excuse that "homework" isn't proven to be beneficial.
