My child attended this school for 3 years. He was a honor roll student the entire time. He was bullied and teachers just looked the other way. The counselors there are worthless. This school has a high rating because they can be selective about who attends, can't cut it, they kick you out. The best teachers there leave or are very close to retirement and you will be lucky if they are remaining there for your child. Having a different principal every two years is a big red flag. After leaving and seeing what a well functioning district can offer I say MOVE if you can.

I am saying neutral here because there are some really great kids here and then there are some really awful ones. I will say this when there was a problem with how my child was being treated by the robotics club, it was not the mentors that responded to me it was the student president of the club. I was pretty impressed that she had the courage to respond when the adults did not. It says a lot about the school when something like that happens.

NO, some of the teachers even saw what was going on but left it to my child to figure it out. Not acceptable. Robotics club also had some serious problems that were never dealt with and I expected better from them.

Not that kind of school, no effort to help those that struggle because they will just go away. You must maintain a certain GPA to stay in the school.

I just didn't see it. For the three years there, there were a few very good teachers and the rest were just putting in their time.

Our high school played against Lincoln Prep last evening and we, the Chillicothe Hornet fans, were extremely impressed with the Blue Tigers' team and supporters' sportsmanship and the amazing cheerleading squad! Those young ladies were exceptional!

Family Tradition, all of my children have graduated from the school, and have gone to college.

This school has the best Chemistry teacher and students. They are doing work at a college level.

Kansas City is lucky to have such a great school!! What a positive difference these teachers make in the lives of children.

I've been a parent at this school since 2000. Lincoln is one of the strongest public high schools in the region. The school ranked tops on state assessments and in national rankings, the school surpassed the Johnson County, Kansas, and suburban KCMO high schools. It's wonderfully diverse, has a lot to offer families and gives students an introduction to living in a multicultural society. It's a winner!

This is a wonderful school in my opinion. I am a 9th grader at LCPA and have been going to Lincoln since 6th grade and i am proud to say that i go to Lincoln College Prep Academy. The one down fall to Lincoln is its very uneventful, you basically are going through the motions until you graduate. I do wish there were more fun ways to learn but that's with all schools. One plus is it is very diverse many different races and people go to this school, yet its not segregated in any way. Like every school there are cliques and the "mean girls" but bullying is disciplined very well (even though it seems every year we get a new administration due to KCMSD). If your in the KCMSD Lincoln is a great choice for your child.
