At sacred heart everyone has friends and fits in great and the teachers are very kind the learning is amazing their faith in God is immaculate and they keep you informed about everything and I love everything about sacred heart

Kids don’t really respect each other or do good when no one is around and character is based for the good of the school in the handbook it says you can’t say anything bad about the school

Homework is written in the daily agenda. Teachers also send out text reminders about assignments. Homework is usually predictable.

My two boys attend school here. In addition to the regular curriculum, they study Spanish, band, and robotics. There is excellent parental involvement and the principal is very supportive. We are not Catholic, but we feel at home with the religious instruction. There is a focus on community service as well as multiculturalism.

There have been some new teachers hired in last 3 years and they have been really good additions to school along with some of the ones that are still there

There is homework but it is not over the top usually. The parents and students have to learn to manage it when playing sports and school.

Great school. Relocated and the kids love it more than their old school. The Principal is very involved, the teachers are great, a lot of activities for the students. Great school.

Our family has been part of the Sacred Heart Family for three generations. Each generation has been well prepared to move to high school in a Catholic High School. The extra activities and sports for students in PK-8th grade have developed our children into well rounded individuals. Each has a firm understanding of charitable giving both through time and resources.

Sacred Heart feels like home to our family. We are in our third year at Sacred Heart and I know that my kids are exactly where they are suppose to be! I love the principle's hands on, no-nonsense approach. The staff is always helpful and personable. I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when talking about our school. I know my kids are loved and taken care of every morning when we drop them off. The positive teaching environment my children have received from PK-1st has allowed my children to excel to their highest potential. I love that sports programs are available for the lower grades. I absolutely love the fact that my involvement in the school will make a difference and that my voice counts when it comes to my children's educational needs. I'm blown away by some of the negative comments I have read here .... I've never heard one bad thing about this school. I m so thankful we are a part of the Sacred Heart family!

It is our third year at Sacred Heart and we love our school. The teachers, principal and staff are very kind and friendly and always make us feel welcome at the school. I like the monthly denim days where the children learn about giving back to our community by donating money for the privilege of being out of uniform for the day. I am thankful that prayer is a part of the school day. My sons class starts the day by praying for each other. In a time when bullying is such a huge problem, I think this is important and teaches them to think of others. In the last year we have seen the school acquire new technology for the classrooms, a booster club was formed and we started having school spirit nights at some restaurants around town, new extracurricular activities such as drama, math, chess and Lego clubs have been added. It seems that efforts are always being made to improve the school and provide new opportunities for learning. It is great to feel that we are a part of a community that really cares about their children and the school they go to.

Great school! focusing on teaching values and morals along with great academics. Lots of opportunities for parents to be involved. Principal is wonderful and always reinforcing to the students the value of being a good Christian, son/daughter and student as well as the importance of community involvement.

My daughter is enrolled in this school and loves it. She has learned so much in the few weeks she has been there from computer class, to music class, to Spanish class. Communication from the school is very good. If you signed up properly, you receive weekly updates (and some times twice a week) from the Principal. Also, information is posted online on my childs weekly curriculum, any upcoming events on the school websites calendar. Parental involvement is key and is expected. Any question I have asked has been answered very quickly, either by email or by phone. My child's independence has grown tremendously in the past few weeks since attending this school. Reading a comment regarding the Principal having no compassion is quiet funny. As my daughter tells me she loves her Principal and runs to give her a hug any time we see her at family functions at the school. Just like in life, people will not fit in every where they are, be it a school, a job or a social group. Finding where you are happy is key to your own success and my family feels we have done this at SHS!

I agree the principal has no compassion or respect for the children. My child just finished his difth year and I have pulled him out and enrolled him at another school. There is NO communication with the parents and children aren't always the best at brimging notes home. I accidentally got behind on paying his lunch (we owed $4.00) and my child was told he could not eat. They haf my child call me at work and I drove from germantown just to pay the $4.00 so he could have lunch. I was told to check online about balances, but they are hardly ever updated. The teachers are rude and the office staff is not much better. I am thankful I found a better environment.

A wonderful Catholic School that teaches my child strong moral values and faith in God. It is a school that cares about higher education standards instead of just being satisfied by common core standards. I love Sacred Heart School and I am a proud parent of a 2nd grade student who will receive a robust education for the next 6 years.

New principal and new teachers in the last 2 years have been a very positive addition for the school. Also some very good teachers that have been here for a while. Finishing our 5th year here, we are very pleased with the academics and the school as a whole. Sports programs have also added and improved a lot under a new and great PE/Athletic director. Would highly recommend this school with its long standing traditions, Catholic and Christian values and small class room sizes!

I agree this is a great school for 3rd grade and under but why enroll your child here when there is a huge chance that you might have to pull them out. The principal has no compassion and if she disciplined the kids that are bullies they way she does the kids that wrote on the bathroom walls this would be a different school. No compassion and way to much politics at this school.

A majority of the teachers are hateful, rude individuals. The discipline system is filled with flaws. This school would not be that bad for a student under 3rd grade, for any grade past that you will find some of the most disrespectful, hateful, and ignorant teachers you will ever see. Bullying is a major issue in the upper grades, yet it goes undelt with. Many students tease, make fun of, and bully others using vulgar, and obscene language. Although students come and go, the environment that is placed among them sets a personality for others to subconsciously pick up, thus carrying on a clique of ignorant, somewhat naive students that use others' imperfections, mannerisms, or social behavior as a perpetual subject to feed off of with offensive, malevolent, and Un-Christian like actions. There are only two real groups of students in this school; Bullies and Victims. If your child doesn't join in on the harsh statements towards others, he/she will revceive them instead. This is certain.This school is a terrible environment for a student to be educated in. I highly unrecommend this awful school. Be cautious enrolling your child at this school. Our experience has not been great. My childs teacher is not responsive to the children or parents. The children can raise thier had and she will just ignor them. The children get a daily behavior report and all of the children in the class constantly get talking in class. She set up a confernace with us on two occassions and she failed toa ttend either one. The first one she said she had to reschuedle and when we arrived the second time she had called in sick. She didn't even have the courtesy of letting us know so we didn't miss work time. The priciple is also unresponsive. We have called and e-mailed but she only responded to one e-mail but then never followed through in talking to our son about other boys pushing him in the hall. I would excersie extrem caution if you are planning to enroll. Our son was extremly loved at his previous school and every since we moved him here its complaint after complaint and he is learning the same thing he learned the previous year.

I love my school. But still the education is low but better than desoto central. Tennesee has much better schools. Still ther is not much bullying.

such a blessing...especially after being at OTHER private schools in the area. The key to success at ANY school, private or public, is being INVOLVED. It's so easy for parents to complain, yet they dont volunteer or participate in school activities. I love ALL the things this school does for my child and I am glad to be a part of it!

Our son started at Sacred Heart at the age of four in the pre-k program and graduated at the end of his eighth grade. He continued his education at CBHS in Memphis and was prepared for the challenge thanks to Sacred Heart. It is a wonderful school with a good community. The Christian based learning is fundamental. The teachers, staff and parents are great. We are forever grateful for this school. We are blessed to have this school in Southaven.

My daughter is a current student at Sacred Heart, for this to be a private school; I am not happy.. My daughter is in a class with only one teacher and 21 kids with NO ASSISTANT.. I enroll my child into this school to ensure she would have the opportunity for more one on one time with the teacher, because my child can be hyper. I am not please with the communication. I feel like I have wasted my money and wish I could have a refund. I strongly suggest to parents who are considering this school, he or she should just send your child to a public school.
