My child struggled in regular public schools both academically and socially. After attending Paul R Brown Leadership Academy, she is now an honor roll student and has excelled in discipline and social skills. The faculty are very nice and courteous. I have been so impressed by the leadership and commitment this school has shown that I have now enrolled all my children. We are very proud to be part of the Paul R Brown Leadership Academy Family!

There are expectations but there is also help. When some students who recently took the State Tests and didn't fair well...the faculty and staff came in for an entire week, as did the students, to review and retake the tests. With super results as I understand. Dedication.

The military format brings about these values, as do the staff and faculty. The environment is conducive to the development of those qualities in their students.

I recently had the Honor of visiting the Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy (PBLA) in Elizabethtown, NC. The Commandant of Cadets (Carl) and his wife (Teresa) are dear friends. We worked together years ago at another school soon after I retired from the United States Army. I worked, as the Director of Corps Recruitment, at Norwich University the nation’s first Senior Military College for over 18-years, until my retirement last year. So it was with excitement that I wanted to see what Carl and everyone else at PBLA had accomplished…and I wasn’t disappointed. Today, there are many young people who live in dire conditions where they are never encouraged and believe they have no future. Not so at PBLA. The staff and faculty are professional and truly care about the students, their lives and their futures. While others in our nation ‘talk’ about the problems we face…the good people of PBLA have stepped to the plate and taken the challenge head-on. Young people need discipline, they liked to be challenged and they need a place that supports their goals. Learning to wear a uniform, keeping it neat and clean, attention to detail, rising through the ranks and developing leadership skills, taking responsibility for their actions, understanding right from wrong and growing to become future leaders…mature well-rounded adults. As someone who has taught Leadership for over 40-years and served in various positions of responsibility I would not hesitate to have my son or daughter attend this wonderful school. Congratulations to this wonderful school and their Leadership Team!
