Reviewed:

New Century Middle School supports the Carthage, Whispering Pines, Cameron area and is a well maintained school. The staff has changed some over the years, along with several different administrators, but I think this helps keep the school more competitive.
They have dedicated staff and many active clubs and extracurricular activities.

  • What did you like? Fostered appropriate environment for children, good staff development, always worked with me when I had an issue or concern. Medium sized rural school.
  • What did you dislike? As NC schools have had lack of funding issues for years, I think it is harder and harder for the schools to address and maintain all the important issues. So I don't have a particular dislike about the school, rather a broader concern about the direction of NC education in general.
