This school never has their stuff together and had no respect for other peoples time. If you want a well organized school Jacksonville High is NOT the school you want your student to attend. Always does things last minute and never cares about how their last minute decisions affect the parents and students that go to this school. If they really did care for their students their stuff would be together and they wouldnt have to scramble around last minute to do things last minute. This is ridiculous that parents and STUDENTS from this school have to tell the admin how to handle situations. 0/10 i do not recommend this school for any parents in the Onslow County Area.

The principal in black and white and sees no gray. She is uncaring. Her lack of empathy for these students is disheartening. No one contracts you about concerns for students that aren't passing. I thank God for power school because without it I would have no clue. I graduated from here and would never send another one of my kids here and that is sad.

This school has drastically changed from a few years ago. Instead of teaching our students they give them the answers and not them what leads up to it. The students are not allowed to take anything home to help them study for a test. And I've only has one teacher care enough to call me in for a conference. This place dumb down our kids instead of teaching them how to succeed then when the student has trouble the act like they don't know why.
They also wait until the students are at the end of a semester to do anything about it. Or if they do send home via a email the progress report it is not updated. Not to mention if you try and talk to one of the assistant principals they don't listen. They only hear what they want to. Alot needs to change.

This school has become an example of what is wrong with the American school system. My oldest graduated 5 years ago and it has declined so precipitously it is hard to remember what it used to be. The new principal cares more about the 01%of students in the full ib courses than making sure the rest of the student body is safe and properly educated. They now nickel and dime the parents with fees with zero to show for it. This school has repeatedly denied children lunch because their account didn't have enough in it, irregardless of the students family situation. They treat the school like a prison and the kids prisoners but still cannot contain the lawlessness. If you have any choice at all send your kids somewhere else or homeschooling them.
