This is absolutely one of the lowest qualified school, in Cumberland County. Some of the staff care, the rest is there. That f-t lady in the admission office is lazy. The school look awful, from the outside. If you can find a little better of a school, I would advise you too

bullying, kids throwing your stuff over the toilet slurs hard r's, kicking stalls open, couldn't even use the restroom in peace. Barley addressed, and it was so bad, they had to get my own social worker involved. terrible. never go here unless you want your child to be a bully/jerk, or a traumatiezed kid.

Do not reccomend this place.

(and plus I caught 3 people vaping in the bathroom.)

The teachers here are awesome, but there’s bullying happening with the kids. The principal doesn’t manage it well, which is pretty disappointing.

It's definitely not a positive experience with this school. Never any homework, the staff seem like that are clueless. The principal is a fashion model, he need a regular job. The school appearance on the outside is depressing. Maybe a pay raise for teachers will get them motivated, in my experience you get what you pay for. The students will always get the short end of the stick, in learning. Their is no one to care, about them.

This is the worst school I’ve experienced, teachers are yelling at students, students are yelling at each other. Students walking the halls. Parents come to the school yelling at teachers. I give it 0 stars. My child will not be coming back

Our experience with this school was short and extremely disappointing! My daughter began 6th grade here when the 19-20 school year began. With in less than two months at this school we chose to homeschool after 6 years of public school. Each time we came into the building there were parents talking about how terrible it was and they wish they could afford to take their kids somewhere else or homeschool them. Some of the stories we were told and overheard were reprehensible. My daughter was caught skipping class 2x because there was a group of kids threatening her. She called me from the class phone which the teach has to punch in the code for them to use and was like please come get me 5 days in a row. Her teacher did not want to discuss why she wanted to leave school so badly. One of the 5 days I missed the call and she left me a voicemail out of breath and shakey saying momma please come help me. I called back after missing her call the gym teacher happened to he in the office and said oh is that Mrs Russell I need to explain why her daughter called, and proceeded to tell me he had to coax my daughter out from under the bleachers after he had to stop two girls who were chasing her telling her they would kill her when they caught her. He only told me he did not report it.This was close to 3 weeks ago and nothing has been done. All this being said I know my daughter is not perfect however she deserves to feel safe. It is worth noting she had never went to the nurse, came home early, or had to call home a single time in the last six years until attending this school.

For student brand new to middle school the schools approach is to generic. They have the students write down their user name and password and show them how to access google classroom one time. After that one time the teacher my daughter had said I’ve already shown you if you can’t access I guess you won’t do your work.

Posted: October 25, 2019

My daughter skipped class because she was being threatened. She called me from the teachers phone 5 days in a row, and we were trying to work together with the school to fix the issue, and then the teacher called us and said yeah um your daughter lied about where she was and skipped class. (The teacher knew the threats that had been stated and that my daughter was scared hence letting her call me 5 days in a row). The teachers in one grade work together but do not seem to communicate unless it is to complain about a job they chose!

Death threats went unreported! Unwilling to show cameras to help find out child when she was hiding from a group of girls threatening to kill her.

Posted: October 25, 2019

Some teachers here like to point out accommodations to IEPs or 504s to students and make them feel bad about it.

My son was non stopped bullying by the other kids, to the point they stole my son's property and flushed his pants in a toilet I went up there and nothing got done. Then we were moving went to take him out made me wait 1 hour for his paperwork while other people doing same thing went before me. I got my paperwork and said give me my child. This school is the worst school I have ever had to deal with. Trying to talk to the administration good luck never happens.

Many of the staff here are great, but the kids are a bit rotten to each other. I'm sure much of it is prepubescent stupidity (we've all been there), but ignorance doesn't make it right. The EC teachers are all wonderful and love their kids, but "give 'em an inch, they'll take a mile" is a great way to sum up what happens when you leave an EC kid alone with non-disabled kids. Bullying was pretty bad... Every year, there has been that ONE kid who cornered my son. Every year, so far, my son has had to dominate someone in PE outside of the EC class who had picked a fight with him just so that he could have a peaceful school year... That doesn't mean he wasn't bullied, but at least he's not getting punched in the face. I believe most of the staff to be good people, and I have seen how much they love their students, but those kids need to be reigned in somehow... I wish them the best of luck with that endeavor, as I know it isn't easy. The staff have my respect and shared frustration.

Worst school and staff ever. My son was threatened and told he would be beat up on a Friday. SRO nor admin did anything. Sadly my son had to beat a kid up for bullying because the staff doesn't care. Teachers are more interested in hooking up with the 24 year old brother than teaching. They are rude and the kids run school. -10 on a scale of 1 to 5.....don't send your child here.

Posted: July 27, 2015

The teachers don't even teach. They don't have the compassion it takes to work with children. It's almost like they don't want the children to succeed in life.

Posted: July 27, 2015

My child is constantly coming home saying she has no homework. I've called the school and asked her teachers they confirmed she doesn't get homework, like she should.

Posted: July 27, 2015

This school never wants anyone to know about anything they plan to do. it's like being in the dark while the sun is shining.

Posted: July 27, 2015

well; This school is just terrible! Only two teachers out of the entire school want to help your students pass. The rest of them could care less. The office staff never gives parents or students any real answers. They have disrespectful lunch staff. All of there staff is bad as a matter of fact. Even the advanced classes at the school stay behind. MY daughter went to the school and never complained. I didn't realize the tragedy that was before my eyes. the teachers are just as disrespectful as the children they taught. I was so glad when my child finished the eighth grade. Don't send your child here if you can do anything about it.

This school is the worst school Ever theachers take there aggression out on the sstudents, and there bus riders think they have the right to come into someones yard and destroy your stuff.. And the school said there is nothing that we can do cause it wasnt at the bus stop or on school property. All they say is call the cops

Posted: December 31, 2013

It is the worst excuse for a school I have ever seen in my life, don't get me started with the students they are the meanest most ignorant monstrosities of people I have ever seen I Know that may be a little harsh to say but its true of you got there yourself just most of them some of them are nice but most of them have left for the reason the students the unfair grades the unorganised mess the school starts like the ceremonies and celebrations all unorganised.I know they don't have much money in there budget but they need to improve for the students sake.

I am a 7th grade student going to the 8th grade this year , I have attended Lewis Chapel Middle school for 2 years now . Lewis Chapel Middle isn't the greatest schools in Cumberland County but it has good students . Lewis Chapel is a poor school but their teachers are fun and loving towards each and every student they have . The sports might not be much of anything except the for the football team but at least we try . If people would stop talking about Lewis Chapel Middle school and try to help maybe it could be a place for children to come and learn and get an education their parents may like . I personally think that their educators do a very well job , just because most of them are African American doesn't mean a thing .I'm glad to say that I'm a proud student of Lewis Chapel Middle school and that I have the best teachers that try and do their best no matter what .

I would have to agree 100% with the post from September 29, 2012. This school is by far, the worst school my child has every attended. My child has been to a total of five schools, due to military and moving. We have never had the issues we've had here. If you can help it, please DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! It is not the students, it is the staff..including the principal. He is a really nice guy. However, when you ask to speak with him or leave a message, he never calls back-unless you say you're going to call the board of education. My child will be told different things, by different teachers. The teachers have nasty attitudes ANYTIME you have any questions. If you call the office, good luck getting any information. If you do get it, they will act like it is the end of the world. I hope someone from the school will, read this and take this in to consideration. Regards

This has to be the poorest excuse for a school I have ever came across in the nine years of my son attending school, and for that matter in my whole life. The administration is horrid. They do not return phone calls. My son was late coming home from school by over and hour, I called them and they had no idea where he was, or that his bus had broken down. They refer to their students by nine digit numbers instead of their names. The teachers could care less what grades your child gets or helping them in anyway. I feel they want to sit their for their paychecks and go home. This school is a prison system preparing our children for the future that the faculty seems our children will have, prison and thats it. I am never contacted to help with anything and when I contact them they never call back. My son came home with a massive bruise from being hit by one of the ghetto bebes kids running the halls there and I called three days in a row for them to give me answers and all I was told is that next time they will do something about it. I have never hated a school or its faculty but I despise this place.

I just moved to North Carolina. I expected far better than this mess pretending to be a school. Lewis Chapel Middle School has to be the armpit of North Carolina. I completed the enrollment packet for my child and I showed up for open house .We were given a schedule with 6th grade classes and he is in the 7th grade! Not to mention that the open house was absolute chaos. No signs directing you were to go. They had 6-8th grades all there at one time for a two hour period. I had to ask about everything! I asked a teacher about the bus schedules/lunch periods. She acted offended that I asked. I interruped her conversation with another teacher at the raffle table. I guess raffles are far too important! We went to meet the teachers on my childs schedule. One of the teachers was actually setting at her desk in the dark (for open house) with the computer/overhead projector on. She didnt have a sign in sheet for parents and barely wanted to shake my hand. RUDE!!! I met another teacher and she was extermely friendly and told my child to come to her for assistance. As a teacher, this is appalling!!! And we wonder why our child are the way they are!!! I just pray for my son and his safety!!!

this school is a great school. i am a student here.yes there some bad kids and good.but this school is a good school is just have a few students who are not working to get there education and bringing others down.but majority of this school students are doing good.some parents may think that the head of the school (principal & etc.) is not doing there job but it is hard managing over 700 students and one principal can NOT do everything that is needs to be done.there are about 50-70 staff members here and over 700 hundred students (that alot to me) and about 50 of that 50-70 is teachers.there is about atleast 30 students signed to one teacher better yet 700 student signed to one principal.so next time think and research before you right such negative reviews about a school most of you parents havent been to.
