I attended Central high school from 9-12 grade, and think that it was a wonderful school to attend. Most of the teachers put a lot of effort into effectively communicating their topic to their students, and were willing to donate extra time if a student had questions .I was in the AP classes, and feel that all of the AP teachers did a more than adequate job at preparing me academically for the AP tests and the college level courses that followed. The school has wonderful music and theater programs, and also offers all of the expected athletic extracurricular activities. Since I graduated, Central upgraded their facilities and did an overhaul of the buildings structure. It can still be confusing to navigate for your first few visits, but I always found that having multiples ways to get to class was an advantage- if one hallway or stairway was too crowded there was always a less crowded alternate route that one could take. Overall Central is a lovely school and would be a great choice for any student in the Grand Forks area. They offer advanced classes, a variety of extracurricular options, and teachers dedicated to helping their students succeed academically.

i go to school here and i have to say most of the teachers are nice..but then there are some who won`t give you the time of day. They are strict about school work and there are some teachers who care..but some things aren`t fair.

I attented Central in the 60's to be fair to the town my father was in the air force and was transfered there from California, I never knew what he did wrong to get transfered to North Dakota. What a shock, the town people did not like the base people and the base people did not like the town people, we were all just to different for each other. If I had the wisdom I have now I would have gone out of my way to make the experience more pleasant.
