My daughter loved Lamping ES. Her teachers always went above and beyond for her and helped with learning difficulties after being home during Covid.

Principals are visible and great with the students. The school is also so beautiful and well maintained. Possibly the only school with a science center and amazing resources for STEAM learning!

Above average experience for my son. He is in 5th grade and has been there from k to 5. Each year is different with different challenges but overall I believe y son had a good experience there and made great friends!

The schools has a strict bullying policy but still it depends on who you know.

This schools requires everyone to behave like a soldier. There is no compassion and understanding. Students are either "naughty or have mental problems" according to Principal.

If you have a child with an IEP, this school is horrible. The facilitator is condescending and rude to everyone and does not have the best interest of the student's interests.

Much better schools in the Henderson area. The front office staff are rude, unhelpful and just plain lazy. Lamping does not care what parents or student's want and only do what they feel is the bare minimum. Beware!

Studends ge t a lot of homework even at the kinder level. They start then early to get them used to working hard.

Horrible as bad as they come. Very rigid and shame kids into getting things done. Principal does little to nothing when suggesting a solution. Worst teachers are McNeil, Kearney, McSimov and Schultz. They are NOT nice to kids with ieps and learning differences.

Horrible. Would NOT recommend this school to my worst enemy. This school needs Much Much better teachers! Worse years of our lives were spent at this school. I think the superintendent needs to monitor the teachers behavior at this school. Very unacceptable and makes me sick to think I had children attend this school.

My two daughters previously attended Glen Taylor and then Wolff elementary. Both are Wonderful schools. We recently moved into the Lamping School Zone (we have lived in 89052 area for 16 years) Not happy at all with Lamping Elementary. The office employees are very rude, 4 hours of homework, homework on the weekends, projects during break. A project every 2 weeks. This school makes it very hard if your children have 2 working parents. My daughter has been unhappy this year. My daughter is now behind and she used to love school. The principal seems to not want the children to have any fun. Glen Taylor and Wolff had a lot of events that made the children happy. Hoping we can get a variance so we can get her out! I've heard other parents complain in my neighborhood as well. Some took their kids out of the school to either homeschool or was able to move them to Glen Taylor. Very disappointed

We just moved here to Nevada and was told this was the best school in the area. I was not impressed the first day. The office administrator was not very friendly and was unhelpful. She acted like we were a burden to sign our son up for school. The pickup and drop off system is horrible and not safe for kids. No system in place at all. If your son has learning issues the teachers act like they want to help and be concerned, but write citations and provide constant negative feedback at the end of the day. No teacher's aids or extra help for kids with needs. We have been here a month and I'm not happy. If this school does not improve with my son's IEP and school counselors, I will be homeschooling him next fall.

We bought a home specifically for this school zone and the school's rating, but it wasn't long before the rose-colored glasses came off. Standardized test scores and the 5-star rating reign supreme at this school. The teachers and staff are good, but highly intimidated by a micromanaging administration. The principal does not consider the needs of each individual student and will ignore you if you make any request for help. He does not want anyone getting in the way of his 5-star rating and will throw your child to the wolves before helping, just as he did with our child.

This is my daughter's first year at Lamping and we have been so impressed. After reading some of the reviews below, I completely disagree with others on how the staff and teachers work with children who are delayed or considered special needs. Everyone has a unique experience, but from what I've encountered, I have been so happy at this school. My daughter has an IEP and she has grown more over the past 6 months since attending Lamping. Her teachers have been wonderful in helping her feel confident in herself and have accelerated her learning substantially . She sees the school's speech therapist, weekly, and she has had huge improvements in her speech this year. I have feared, because she struggles, that she would hate school. I am so thankful they have taken the time to teach her that learning can be fun and enjoyable.

I am hurt that this schools doesn't understand children who are slower learners. I would appreciate if they cared more about feelings rather than looking good!! The staff at this school seem unhappy. My child was a happy kids until he started going here. If your child is perfect and excels this school will be fine, but if your child has any delays, this school will be a nightmare.

Overall we moved to GV because of the schools, we are extremely impressed with our sons vibrant teacher. He is thrilled to come to school and he is more willing to learn. Thank you to Ms. Moas for making our school year fun and a smooth transition. We are blessed :)

I thought this would be a fantastic school, and for the most part, the staff is great. THE LEADERSHIP Is utterly and rediculously snobbish, insensitive and bossy. If your child has special needs or any thing that could be considered less than perfect, this principal will not want you there and he will be relentless untill you transfer your child elsewhere. My child was singled out, targeted, labeled as trouble, and wound up in severe emotional distress due to the bias against my child by the administration here. It nearly caused a lawsuit. Like I said, I live in this neighborhood and it is a great school if you have enough money and your child is perfect enough. So unimpressed. The environment almost ruined my child who has more than enough challenges without being threatened and treated poorly by adults. It was sad to witness a wonderful staff who were silenced, instructed not to speak to me, etc because of the principal.

This is a great school. My son has come very far academically. I almost feel like he is in a private school. I love that they have to wear uniforms and are very accountable for their actions.

My husband and I are very pleased with the education that our child is receiving at Lamping. This year is off to a great start with Mr. Knudson as our teacher. His humor and challenging work has really inspired my son. He has never enjoyed school as much as he is this year!

Frank Lamping is by far the best school my children have attended. The community and parent involvement is amazing and I truly feel that the school cares about the education of the students. The school promotes college even at this level of education which I think is great. My child constantly praises her 2nd grade teacher, Mr. Rapp and she is much more responsive and willing to learn than I have ever seen.

Lamping is a wonderful school. There are excellent programs available and the teachers are outstanding. There is great parent involvement as well. Our family couldn't be happier when this school!
