These people want their money above anything else. I've had problems with all 3 of my kids not getting into preschool all 3 years. I've had problems with my oldest with bullying, a student threatened to stab other students, went to stab my son and threatened to kill a 2nd grader and often exhibited violence but it was my kid that ended up in trouble. My daughter was bullied here. Their enrichment classes and preschool are also NOT determined by "lottery" it is by teacher and PTO preference. They give parents who have been picking up kids for the past 5 years problems for picking up their kids and also clap back and say that you cannot drop your kid off at 8:25am for breakfast. This is not a 4 star school it has gone downhill and Selma F Bartlett would be rolling in her grave seeing as to how this school is being managed now

When I went to the school, I hated it. I have trauma from my experience here. I just hope that it improves since I was here.

Everything was good for three years then I made a teacher mad at me. It was like the entire school disliked us and my son lost all his friends and all the students started calling him the trouble maker. My son is polite and is very smart in gate. The teacher would never give me any info about why he wasn't getting better grades or how I could help. When I brought it up twice with the principal he just said it was my sons fault. A lot of politics. They care about fundraisers ALOT. Must be one every other day. Plus testing, but not the kids. Horrible experience this year. Its really turned into a not nice place. We are seeking a charter/private school asap.

As a helper, I see how hard the teachers work. I noticed that there are behavior problems in the classroom. The parent complaining does not know the history/story of disruptive kids so don’t blame everything on the teacher. As far as combining classes, this is a district problem with not enough substitutes. Does the parent have a solution? Maybe this parent should get a sub license and sub when there isn’t coverage for absent teachers. Why be upset when teachers have the time to take off? You don’t know and don't need to know why teachers take time off.

I love how someone said that the principal is coasting off the hard work of the parents. I didn’t know the parents did everything to make a school successful. If the principal was not effective the school would not be 4 stars now.

My son attended here briefly as a little guy, while we lived in the area, temporarily. He is a gifted student and made good grades at Bartlett, however, he can be quirky and struggles with speech pragmatics. For example, he was sent to the principal's office once for something relatively minor. The story told to me was that he was sitting in the principal's office reading a newspaper when the vice principle walked in. My son didn't look up or acknowledge her and so she spoke up to get his attention and introduced herself as the vice principle. My son then looked up and told her he was there to see the principal, not the vice principal. The vice principal disliked this very much and lit into him with much disapproval. My son then began to cry with fear and anxiety because he had no idea why she was angry. I got absolutely no where when I tried to discuss his history of developmental differences with them--they seemed not to understand at all, stressing his defiance when truly he was not. My belief is that this is not a good school for children with developmental differences as they seem not to be educated in this regard. On the other hand, he loved his sweet teacher and still speaks of her fondly. He loves to hear the story about what happened that day in the principal's office and always says--I was only telling the TRUTH! Academically, the school is good but not impressive, though, I tend to be a little particular in this regard.

This school is the best hands down we moved here and couldn't be happier with the quality of this school!

Love the way the teachers challenge the students to learn more. Unfortunately the receptionist, lady that works the front is very rude and aggressive. I am scared to even call school for any reason. Some of the other parents are in little clicks, makes me feel uncomfortable approaching them or talking to them. My son also had his shirt ripped by another student. The curriculum, principal and vice principal outstanding, everything else about the school is unimpressive.

Bartlett is a great place for students to learn. The administration and staff are all dedicated to the learning and best interest of all students. Parents are always welcome to volunteer.

Our two children have attended Bartlett for the past four years, and we absolutely love this school and its staff. A great school begins with strong leadership, and we are fans of the principal and the high standards she holds her staff and students to. Our kids have been fortunate to have exceptional teachers during our time at Bartlett, and of the six teachers we have experienced with our two kids, only one was anything less than outstanding. Bartlett has a strong and active PTO, and the teaching staff has always been welcoming and open to our desire to be involved as parents. We would pull our kids and send them to private school in a second if we had even the slightest concern about their experience here, but Bartlett has been wonderful to our kids and we are proud to be Bartlett parents!

This school is good, but they have issues as well. The best thing I can say is this school has an awesome PTO. I have two children who attend Bartlett and the PTO is always doing something. I wish I could join and be more active, but currently I am not able. The principal is okay, she would probably be much better for a middle school and not elementary, but we can't choose the principal. The teachers I have experienced have all been wonderful. They do their best with the limitations they have to work with. I do NOT like the whole "all kids must do the same thing" routine, in fact I hate that, but its not the teachers fault, that is a district rule. The front office staff have been known for being rude, but I can honestly say in the past 2 months, I have noticed a huge difference. Overall, this school is one of the best and I wouldn't take my kids out. I would like to see more extra work given to kids who are struggling in certain areas for practice. As a parent, I should know my child is struggling before I get a report card with a low grade. There are too many communication tools for them to not be used properly.

I am sorry that my child attended this school. Administration and office staff are EXTREMELY unfriendly, both to students and to parents. All students in the same grade must do the exact same work, regardless of their ability. My child was held back because they were ready to move on, but the principal is so focused on special education students that they neglect the students who are gifted. My child is now at a better school, and is happier and more challenged.
