Little flower has been an absolute disaster. They are unable to help children who need extra help. Their communication is about a 1/2 star out of 5. I had to pull my 2 children. They also dont hire accredited teachers. My daughter had an aide one year for her teacher. Look elsewhere, they do whats best for little flower and not your child.

I am a student at this school as of 2025. This school is rather safe yet there are lots of problems with this school. The community within this school is not very good given the fact that teachers are not flexible with how students learn. Some students have different ways of learning, I am not talking about the special education at all. Some students brains are wired differently, not saying that they are any less smart but that they learn in a different way. The teachers do not take that well. The amount of homework given compared to regular public schools is astronomically higher than other private elementary-middle schools. Some can deal with it no problem but some can't. If you do decide to take your child to this school, then do not let them get behind on work. If a student in middle school misses a regular day of school, the work is difficult to catch up with. Some teachers here also have problems as well. One teacher always has to be right with absolutely everything, and when a student provides some sort of feedback or response that is not in favor of what that teachers is saying, they take it as if the student is "talking back" or "being rude". The social and emotional support of how this school operates is not good. This school does not have a legit counselor, and there is very little emotional support. The only support you will likely get from this school is your peers and the teachers that will understand what a student might be going through and actually give them a break. There are a few good teachers here but you won't find a lot. Honestly as a middle school student here, I and other students and parents feel very strongly about this school. Now for the consequences for the smallest things. Teacher see's you doing literally anything other than what they think is school work when they have everything that the teacher asks you, you can get suspended. There was a student that got caught playing a hockey or football video and he got suspended for a day. Get caught eating, week of detention. Get caught playing games, get suspended for three days. Touch, dunk, or hit a basketball rim, get a month of detention. This review does not mean that this school isn't all bad, the school is safe, and they provide decent education with the exception that it only teaches in one way. Also, the value of something that a middle school student does carries far more weight due to the smaller amount of middle school students. Thanks for reading this review.

Without a doubt, this is by far the best elementary and middle school in the area. The teachers and staff are friendly and very loving towards all students regardless of whether they have them in class. Yes, there is a lot of homework - but you won't see a better prepared student in high school. The best and brightest come from Little Flower.It is also a very family oriented atmosphere with a zero tolerance towards bullying policy.

Little Flower was the best decision we ever made! Our children have attended top rated elementary school in the state. While we like the previous schools, the WCSD schools dont even compare to Little Flower.

This school has been wonderful. My first child has been there for 1.5 years and my second is in kinder. Even teachers who don't deal with my children at all know them by name and look out for them.

The classes are larger than I would prefer but the teachers do an amazing job and really care about making sure the kids learn what they need to. Whenever I need advice on how to help my child do better in school they always have great insight. Everytime I have wanted to meet they have made themselves available.

My daughter's teacher disciplined her students by humiliating them in front of the class. These were very young children.

There is no differentiation in the lessons, if your kid likes worksheets this is the school for you. No attempt by the teacher to do hands-on activities the whole year. The teacher wanted the kids to be quiet all the time.

The teacher bullied the students behind a closed door all year and the administration let it happen.

My teachers were always extremely challenging. They were determined to make sure that I understood the material even if it meant to stay after school or after class they were extremely effective hands down!

It would take me at least 2 hours to complete my homework there are LARGE amounts of homework but it pays off in the long run it really does!!

I enjoyed going to this school! I had some really fun memories. My classmates once went across the country for a week which went really well. There are huge class sizes, one has 41 children enrolled. I would definitely rate it great but it is not really "diverse" there are very few children who have different backgrounds, but I enjoyed my time here, like any place there were ups and down but it was pretty fun here.

Warm, kind, energetic, professional, friendly and united. That is how I feel when I go to the school. I love the staff, the principal, the fathers, and the students. Couldn't be happier.

This is by far the best school in Reno. The Principal is fantastic and the teachers are truly dedicated and care about each and every student regardless of socio-economic status. Extra attention is given when needed, often times on the teachers' own time. The curriculum is far above public schools

Little flower school is a great school. The tution is afordable. The new principal goes all out to do what is best for the kids. My son not only gets a good education but good values. Every where I go people complement me on my sons behaviour and politeness.

Large class sizes, punitative environment, and a principal who is a bully. There is no formula for teaching kids how to read and the suggestion is that they all need a $450 tutoring program. We attempeted to resolve issues with the principal but she was unwilling and always had to be right.

Have loved the school since my child started until recently. They are so worried about the budget issues and now keep increasing class sizes. Very sad that I pay as much money as i do for them to have larger classes then the public system. Also have noticed since the new principal arrived that the teachers have shut down in communicating with parents. My child has had all kinds of things change to track his social and academic progress. And when asking about the changes was told that the teacher did not have the time for it. I hope it is just this one teacher but talking to other parents seems to be a grown epedemic.
