My little suppose to attend ESY here. Start off they called with one meeting for meet and greet the day before with no other date options or meeting options available. Like people don't work and need notice for these things. So there not family friendly, witch crazy were do think kids come from. My daughter is special education so it important for me to meet the human that going be guiding my child. Has I know teacher vessels out here to be aggressive and have poor choice of words when working with students. It like like they set it up so they don't have to meet you. 0 children in mind, zero family engagement, don't ever call the right parent first, zero safety, they promote pride month messing with emotional stability, zero emotional support. Yet you see learning what children are supposed to be doing spectrum or not.

My two sons attend Hayes and we are so happy with the school. The teachers are amazing! They really promote kindness and being your best. The principal is so involved and always interacting with the students. My boys love GATE because Mr. Lord is so animated and passionate about learning. We are very blessed to be a part of Hayes.

My child is part of the Special Education program at Hayes Elementary. From the moment Ms. Mikie Young took over as Principal, our Special Education kids have been included, invited, and EXPECTED. What I mean by "expected" is, it felt like before Ms. Young came to our school, there no expectations of our Special Education students. Ms. Young has created an environments that expect, supports, and promotes our kids right along with the General Ed. kids!!

I'm sad that my child will have to be rezoned to a new school. Hayes Elementary is a great school. Mrs. Young and Mrs. Fontaine are so kind and caring with the kids. My kid has had nothing but awesome teachers for the past three years. Our family is very sad to have to go to a new school.

The teachers are dedicated. The principal and vice principal know all of the kids' names and are so personable. We have been so happy at this school! It is such a positive place for kids to thrive.

Since the new principal has taken over the atmosphere of this school has changed dramatically. The teachers are governed by fear tactics. This obviously reduces the effectiveness of their teaching and lowers moral to the point its effect on students has become apparent. When you have a failed principal, moving her in the middle of a year to a new school is the typical CCSD response. ItÂ’s really a shame.

This school has taught me to be kind and respectful to people around me that I don't even know. In the beginning of fourth grade I have learned in 3 months a bunch of wonderful things. This school is amazing and spectacular to be taught at this school.

Hayes is an example of how public education should function. The teachers encourage the students, (most) parents are supportive, and the students enjoy going there. Mr. Ligon, the Principal, cares about the students and is directly involved with them.

I was a student there a couple of years ago I loved. All the teachers are nice and care if you're learning or not. The office staff is nice and do a lot of things for the school they really care. Unlike the other school I used to go to.
