As a parent I'm more than happy with the school. They are approachable, principal, front office staff, teachers. They have a great activities during the year for families to get involved. They also offer different learning groups for the kids that gives them opportunity to achieve their potential in different ways.

They are talking to kids about issues and effects that have on their friends. Every semester they talk about it and kids are reminded that they should say something.

Kids need to be kids. Too much homework can turn a child off to education

We love Kesterson. They are just big enough to have a lot going on, and just small enough where everyone knows your name.

Kesterson has been great coming from California, I didnt know what to expect. The principal is great and has a great way of empowering kids to be responsible for what they do and helping them build a sense of responsibility toward their country and community (not something always taught in California schools)
Kesterson is a great school with a very engaged group of educators

My Son was failing (all D's and F's and he is capable of more) at first semester progress report time. This we found out when he brought the progress report home not prior. When we attempted to contact the teachers about these grades it took the teachers 5 days to return our inquiry. Their answer was it was put on infinite campus- this is sad if one doesn't have access. It in the end took us 3 wks to get a conference. Then the answers kept changing like (2month after the fact) "oh he could have corrected the turn in work for a better grade" or he got a zero for something that was graded and returned and when confronted with the graded work the teacher acted as if it was our son's fault. The principle is a great lady but her assistant leaves something to be desired, she told me that I shouldn't worry about my son's grades because they weren't my grades. Hello he's my responsibility.

Not good, we had to move away and then were faced with returning to the area and would not even contemplate allowing our kids to return to the school.

Kesterson is an amazing school. The staff is the absolute best ever and we love the front office ladies as well as the Principal and Vice Principal. They are so great with the kids and truly want them to be the best version of themselves. We have been in the school district for over 20 years and I have 3 children left at Kesterson. They have been there since kindergarten and we have loved this school more every year.
They have a art program at the school that includes such activities as guitar, choir, music appreciation, origami, sewing, knitting, ukulele, drawing, sculpture and so many more. These are available for students starting in 3rd grade and they change each semester. What a wonderful thing for the children of this school. They get opportunities to try these different programs and get to find new things that they love to do.
Overall If you are looking at this neighborhood, you could not pick a better school and would HIGHLY recommend this school to anyone. You would not regret it!!!!! SIMPLY THE BEST

I am always going to be grateful for this school, and that, it was the place where my little one started his educational first steps. His preschool teacher was and is awesome! I was so happy she was bilingual. My boy still talks about her. Great school, good programs and strategies. Happy and friendly staff. Sad we moved :(

My kids used to love Kesterson but this last school year they lost their love for this school and so did I ! The new Principal cut out so many things and it disappointed my kids so much ! As a parent I never see the Principal around and when I do she walks around like she's to good to speak to anyone . There are some good things about this school like most of the Teachers are great and the P.T.A is also great but other than that this school is no good ! So glad my kids will not be at this school anymore and will be attending a much better school with an amazing Principal !

We got a new principal a couple of years ago, she has changed a few things and making the teachers feel under appreciated. Teachers are awesome and go above and beyond. My kids have never had a bad teacher. They did a fun run this year and the pta have put on fun things. Great school!

My children have attended Kesterson since 2009 and they absolutely love it! We as their parents have been very pleased with the staff there. The principle is great, the office staff is very friendly and has always been helpful when needed. The teachers so far have been outstanding with our children we have not had any issues or dislikes from our kiddos. Thanks Kesterson staff keep up the good work! We look forward to many more years to come!!

I would truely recommend this school. I have 2 kids that go there now and I really love it. The teachers and the staff at this school are wonderful. Its sad that my kids have to go to a different school next school year but I hope their new school is as better as Kesterson...

We sent our child to this school for only 1/2 the school year. We transferred to a different school because this school was absolutely deplorable. The front office staff was very friendly, but that's where the kindness ended. The teacher literally yelled at the students daily, showed no concern for my child's safety, and obviously was miserable with her job. The principal had the audacity to RPC my child for "gang related activity" in 1st Grade when my child was defending himself from a bully. How it was that he got in trouble for being bullied was beyond my comprehension. When we asked her about it in the conference she refused to acknowledge the facts of the case. Ridiculous. I recently spoke with another parent who pulled her child from the school for the EXACT same reason - her son was bullied and he was RPC'ed because he was taller than the other child so therefor was at fault. I don't know what the deal is there with the administration but they are seriously missing the mark. While attending that school, we had so many problems with our son's attitude regarding school - he was miserable. I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone!
