Many of the teachers do not enjoy teaching and walk around looking annoyed and miserable, expecting students to teach themselves with videos and textbooks. When students go to the learning lab for extra help, the teachers spend little to no time with them and scold and humiliated them for not comprehending the material right in front of other teachers and their peers.

My daughter and others who currently attend this school have been discriminated on and bullied by teachers who have also been caught gossiping about them and others who are disadvantaged socially, financially, and academically. They favor and make special accommodations for athletes and children of celebrities, hoping it gives the school a little credibility when they get accepted into top tier college.

Leadership allows teachers to be lackadaisical about helping students succeed. They are also a part of the gossiping problem and do not work collectively with parents to make the learning experience an effective one.

Absolutely not! They focus on the top tier students and make those with learning differences feel unworthy.

The teachers and administration are the real bullies, which is terrifying since they are supposed to be the ones assuring the parents that they are in a safe learning environment on campus.

I give it a thumbs down! This school needs to be reevaluated by the district. I wish more parents would come forth to bring about change. They have a great concept but the wrong people in charge and an unmotivated staff of teachers. Not all the teachers are bad; there are a few who show true passion and genuinely care about their students.

This school is below standard, and things have gotten even worse since the new principal came on board two years ago. AP classes are held only once a week, which is not enough time to learn the material to prepare for exams. If you value your child's self-esteem and future educational goals, do not send your child here.

My children attend this school. They have good grades and they love their teachers. When they have any issues with their homework, their teachers help them on the day they are at school or through an email. The only issue is the upper administration can be a bit rude to parents when their is a problem. They did resolve my issues after I confronted them with it and they did apologize. That was frustrating but besides that, this school is pretty good.

This school is more like independent study hall. The students are assigned to teachers, but you and only you are responsible for teaching your child each day. The hybrid day in high school is nothing more than them doing their work there on a computer in a cold classroom. I thought this is where they would be receiving instructional time with teachers. The teachers come in, have the kids sign their attendance logs, and leave them to teach themselves advanced classes like calculus and physics. They do say, "If you have any questions, let me know!" That is like me checking out a book from the library about auto mechanics, then trying to fix my engine. My daughter had to drop one class because there was NO INSTRUCTION. Oh and the curriculum? They log in and watch video instuction via youtube. Yes You read that right, youtube, and other silly cartoony characters are now replacing certified teachers. Do your research before choosing this one.

I can't say enough great things about Odyssey Charter Schools. We tried the schools we were zoned for, but our children just were not doing well. We decided to give Odyssey a shot after hearing some wonderful things about them from a friend. We are amazed at the one-on-one attention my kids have received from their teachers at Odyssey. We get regular calls home from teachers when our students are not doing well and we are able to log in daily to track how they are doing. Our kids actually enjoy school now and are eager to learn. The administrators and staff are top notch. We get quick responses whenever we call. The technology department at Odyssey is amazing! They helped us fix both of our computers for free when the Geek Squad at Best Buy was trying to charge us hundreds. They have also helped us for hours on the phone with any questions we have had with Moodle or any of the other course material. Great school, great staff, great teachers! Changing to Odyssey was the best decision we made for our kids.

This is place is just amazing. all the others schools are horrible no matter what ever they say. the teachers are very kind and respectful. if your having hard times with any of your courses they always help you in the nicest and simplest ways. and unlike other schools where teachers would yell at you for not doing work, they would ask why haven't you been doing your work and that they're here to helpful. other peers are very kind and respectful and its pretty calm in the school
