I knew James Bilbray, he coached his son Kevin’s baseball team when I was a child in Vegas. He would be seriously dissatisfied in this “educational” facility. In fact, I’m sure he would have his name taken off of it. He was a man of integrity.

Although others may have had positive experiences, we did not. I had two Children at Bilbray, 2nd and K.
The school is immensely overcrowded. We had a teacher who was not willing to work with our child who had just transferred from another state ( using non-common core standards). She told us we should expect our child to fail the first semester. Absolutely no guidance or support from staff. We had such high hopes! We un-enrolled our children after a year.

Bullying is not tolerated. Bilbray has lots of activities for the kids to help the kids deal with bullying, including buddy benches, peer mediators, and kindness incentives.

Our family really loves Bilbray! The office staff, including Melody and Tami are so kind and helpful, and our girls have been so lucky with all of the teachers they have had! Bilbray has lots of great after-school and in-school programs, like golf, robotics, gymnastics, cheer, basketball, and chess. The Ideas teacher, Mrs. Wilhite is fantastic, and always has interesting activities for the kids to do in the library. We also love Mrs. Mahana, the GATE teacher, and all the fun extras in her class. Bilbray has taken us to AstroCamp, and we are going to SeaCamp soon. My daughters would recommend Bilbray to everyone!

They gradually increase the homework as the kids get older so they aren't spending too much time on it. By 4th and 5th they are learning to organize their own work and be responsible for themselves.

The teaching staff at this school is really strong! They are all experienced and have all been at Bilbray a long time. My daughters are in 2nd grade and 5th grade, and between the two teachers, I think they have 60 years of experience!

Bilbray implements a school-wide character building program and promotes positive reinforcement for all the children.

The principal Aaliyah Page runs an organized school. She expects a lot from the staff and parents, and she is equally supportive in return.

The special education teachers, including the speech pathologist, the school counselor and the school psychologist, are all diligent and responsive to the needs of all the special education kids.

This is a "Be Kind" school which means all students are encouraged and taught how to be kind to one another. The lifeskills are often discussed and put out on a morning message by the principal each week. The students try to 'fill each others buckets' by being kind and helping out where needed.

James H Bilbray is a wonderful school. So many before and after school clubs and groups for the students to enjoy!

The principal is unprofessional and does not monitor the teacher to make sure they are doing their job to meet the various learning needs of students at the school. I am glad my child has been reassigned to Bozarth Elementary.

Amazing...Aside from the teachers being great the PTA works wonders and provides so much for the students

Both of my daughters attend this school. They have attended Bilbray Since 2010. My yongest started out there in the Special education program they have and my oldest started her 4th grade year. This school is amazing. All the way from the ladies in the office the teachers and even the lunch ladies are awesome. My kids love this school and even though the school year hasnt come yet to the end they cry just thinking about the summer coming and not being able to see their teachers every day. The extra programs this school offers these children is amazing and with out the amazing PTA we could not have these things. I would recomend this school to anyone. BEST SCHOOL in Nevada. The teachers and their dedication to our children is amazing and will make sure that my youngest can finish out her elementary years at Bilbray. :)

My children have attended Bilbray for the past 3 school years and each year we have had wonderful teachers. I have both an over achiever and a child who needs extra help and both are able to get exactly the help they need to succeed.
