I am a student there and the teachers are very nice, caring, and loving! They come up with great ideas to keep us happy and entertained. You have to put in your son/daughters in now because registration is open.

Whispering Pines SDA school is the best kept secret in Old Westbury! Nestled in a quiet and safe place, makes it conducive to learning and play. I was attracted to Whispering Pines School because of its holistic approach to education. The school focuses on developing Christian values that prepare students to be upright citizens. I brought my 3 year old potty-trained son to Whispering Pines school for pre- kindergarten 7 years ago and my second son to Kindergarten a year ago and I have not been disappointed. Due to the smaller class sizes, students get individualized attention, and staff have a working relationship with parents. Students have the opportunity to learn English, Spanish and Korean due to the language immersion program, in addition to STEM classes, music and art. Students have opportunities for public speaking, singing and and learning musical instruments . Students also have opportunities for field trips, performances and general fun throughout the school year. While the school has a very active Home and School Association and school Board that are involved in fundraising, it would benefit from generous donors like you, who can boost technological resources that will benefit our students. So, if you have or know of students from pre-k to 8 th grade, bring them to Whispering Pines School, they will not only excel academically but will learn life skills that will help them to successfully navigate the challenges of life. I have two children at WPS. One is in sixth and has been there since first grade. He does not want to go anywhere else, even though there are schools closer to our home. My first grader feels the same. They love their friends and teachers. Great environment fir kids. The students are respectful of each other and the teachers. Great school.

I have 2 kids that started from prek one is in 3rd grade now and the other graduating from kindergarten, I must say the overall engagement from the school I love, they are very professional and caring they treat the kids as their own, I'm very happy about their well being on a daily basis while in school the programs they offer in the language enrichment program is great and the events they keep for the family and children is rewarding, during the whole pandemic they handled it so well that I felt so comfortable while at work, the classroom are well kept and the protocol they follow to keep our children safe I'm very happy about that because that was a concern and they ensured all staff and children stayed safe which they did. I'm happy I made the choice to have my kids attend this school, I would so recommend anyone to send their children here. It's a small family away from home.

My son has been going to the school since pre K and hes still very enthusiastic about getting up super early and attending WPS. He absolutely hates when hes unable at attend. Im grateful that they are challenging my child and believe they have his very best interest and wants him to succeed at being a kind and very best person he can be. My three year old daughter and I are excited as she will be joining the Whispering Pines SDA this coming semester. I know for sure my children are and will always be in great hands. GOD BLESS

This is a wonderful school! Academically, my child is ahead of other children I know at other schools that are on his grade level. I can't say enough about how caring each teacher is, both in regards to each child's academic and personal growth. You feel as though your child has a 1:1 experience. Spiritually, my child is way more knowledgeable and has a deeper relationship with Christ than I think I could have provided on my own. I absolutely adore Whispering Pines.

My experience with this school has been amazing. My daughter has been there since pre-k and is now finishing 2nd grade. There is no where else we would rather be.

There is only one teacher for different grade levels. Example, in grades one and two, all of these students share only one classroom and one teacher. The one and only teacher just give them worksheets per grade level. I can not comprehend how these students gain valuable learning where there is only one teacher and one classroom. The teachers most of the time read the textbooks ( reading is not teaching). Yes, they are very nice teachers, but they are ineffective. Their teaching strategies will not work for me if I were their student. I will never send my children here because I feel that they will not learn anything. The teachers most of the time just sit down while teaching, there is no participation or engaging students. Teachers and students do not have a science laboratory and their computers and other technology are obsolete. The way the teachers teach is they just give a worksheet for students to answer and most of the time students just write on their notebooks. The school can improve if they hire more efficient teachers, add a science laboratory, and update their computer and other technological resources. They should not sit down while teaching most of the time.
