is actually the best school ever! My high school child loves it here so much! We were a little skeptical at first because of the area and a few bad reviews but those reviews are sooo wrong. There are dozens of police officers on campus at all times. There isnt a drug problem anymore thanks to the child maternity and the amazing officers and staff. The curriculum is God honoring.Every subject remains revolved around Christ and how you can grow as a believer,while maintaining a good education.If there is bullying (very rare) the teachers immediately deal with it. It is a very hard school to get into,if you have been dismissed from a previous school then they wont let you in. They only allow the best in there school.Because of this school my son has become a man that walks with God. The student body is everyone you would influencing your children. They are so Christ honoring it brings tears to my eyes.They need to update the Reviews this school has changed in the best way possible

It's unbelievable that a Christian School has such terrible morals did y'all know that they'll make someone sign a agreement that they won't date anybody the whole time they go to that school if they're gay. They also don't do any kind of action on the bullies and the bully spreading rumors rumors that could possibly ruin the rest of this person's life the only reason he saved is because the LIE they told they said he was at a festival and what saved him is that he really was at work so even though the people knew they were lying on him he still had to wake up at 7:00 a.m. and have a meeting and was told that they're not going to do anything about it so I guess this school is allowed bullies making fun of gay people idon't think the Lord cares about people sexual preferences I think it's about how you treat people so this school hates gays...

All 4 of my children were bullied and we were told on numerous occasions they would take care of it and they never did. I ended up going up there at lunch time and caught that boy myself stealing my sons lunch and I took care of that but I can't sit at school all day with my kids and if you tell them to stand up for themselves they say but we get swatted REALLY swat my kids for standing up for themselves we got a problem this is only one issue e had at that school not to mention lunch prices which would be fine if they got a nutritious meal but...nuff said

My hope was that in a Christian school my children could get away from the declining moral condition in public schools while still receiving a quality education. My children could have had very similar moral experience at a public school for free and received better eduction.

There was very little homework, not enough problems to retain concepts. If the students did not complete work on time, they could turn it in late for full credit. If they scored poorly, they could resubmit it for an A. This is poor college preparation.

My child made exceptional grades but learned very little. No need to learn if the teacher hands out study guides with answers that are exactly like the tests.

Many students have choosen to attend other schools as there is a problem with bullying and the administration seems to support alternate lifestyles among their students and staff, an odd position for a Christian school.

My children have attended Destiny since they were 3 years old. We have enjoyed our time here. I think the teachers are great and easy to reach if needed. Anytime I have a concern, academic or otherwise, they are always willing to meet with me and discuss the situation. My kids have made life long friends with great character and morals. I love that they have a great group to hang out with and I can trust what they are being exposed to. We love Destiny Christian!

My son was bullied at this school. And the Principal ignored it completely. I wasnt even made aware until weeks after. Terrible experience overall! Not worth the tuition.

Educating children in the 21st century is quite a challenge. I was a teacher at Destiny and found them aggressively seeking to meet the challenges in a way that would make a very positive educational experience for the child. I recommend this school to any parent that desires extra attention care and love for their child.

In my opinion, this school is currently run like a dictatorship. The daughter of the founders seems power hungry and doesn't have an education background. There is a lot of nepotism, they hire a lot of family members of faculty, alumni and legacy children. It's like one big family tree, the majority of faculty are somehow related to or have a connection with one another so it's very hard for outsiders to have a sense of belonging. Administration changes the rules at will to fit their desires with no discussion or warning. Administration also chooses when to enforce the rules or not. There are a lot of double standards. Teachers openly show favoritism with certain students even on their personal social media. There are so many cliques within administration, faculty and students. Drama can be a problem normally in any environment but it seems to get magnified here due to the small size of the school and the involvement of certain parents and teachers. For being Christian based, they're very judgemental. Students are stifled from being themselves. Retention from Kindegarten to 12th grade is low. Sports seem to be a driving force at this school and their championships show it but when you look at the OCSAA it is run by Destiny so if you have any complaints you don't have an unbiased person to go to to air them and resolve them. I am not convinced that their education is worth the thousands of dollars spent. There are a number of graduating Seniors not making high enough ACT scores to get into universities or take entry level college courses. They do little to introduce Juniors and Seniors to colleges or the college application process. I believe children need exposure to change in administration, faculty, rules, and fellow students; therefore, I don't think it's a good idea to have a student in one school for 12+ years.

Children from Kindergarten through 12th grade have homework basically every night. They aren't suppose to have homework on Wednesdays since it's a faith based school and church is on Wednesdays but teachers give it anyway and administrators allow it.

Not sure that all teachers at all times have teaching degrees. They also get some young inexperienced teachers that don't know how to handle a classroom.

The original founders are slowing stepping away from day to day activities as they hand the administration of the school over to their daughter and her husband. The original founders had a great relationship with parents and were truly wanting to create a great educational program. The daughter has a nursing degree and doesn't seem to have a passion for education. Students do not respect administration because they run it as a dictatorship.

This school preaches about love and compassion, but it is totally the opposite. My child received a better education, as well as support from teachers, in a public education environment. I do NOT recommend this school!

I witnessed a student ask a question about their belief of when life is created. The teacher stated to him, "If you do not put what the book says, you are wrong". The student was faced with the option of marking the books answer to receive credit, or the answer he truly felt was correct and not receiving credit. That was a common occurrence within that school. "If you don't believe exactly as I do, you are wrong."

I was a student at Destiny Christian School and it was a terrible experience. I did not learn anything. It seems as if everyone is related and the teacher's kids get a slap on the wrist for things other people would be suspended for. The learning environment does not foster growth and critical thinking. I do not feel I gained anything from that experience. They lied to my parents stating they did not accept kids who were kicked out of public schools. They do. Not only that, they give them athletic scholarships. As numerous people have mentioned, sports is about the only thing they value. They do not accept students who are LGBTQ, had a child, married or living on their own. Even if the girl was a victim of rape and elected to keep the baby. The school never completed my OHLAP/Oklahoma's Promise paperwork despite us discussing the issue upfront. When I enrolled in college, I found my tuition was thousands more and the school stated there was nothing they could do because it was "too late". There are no honor classes or alternative options for students. Send your kid somewhere else!!

We placed my son at Destiny last year, his sophomore year. We have loved every minute of it. Yes, it is a bit of a sacrifice, but worth it by far. If I'm going to enroll my child in a private school, I expect to make some sacrifice financially. He has made many good friends, and his teachers have gone out of their way to be helpful. If he has a missing assignment, late assignment, or a low grade, I automatically get an email. We have been very impressed with the staff and faculty, and feel like they truly care about my son and his future. The friends that he has made while at Destiny are really good kids. I would highly recommend Destiny.

I really started to like this school in the beginning. The first year was great and the second year was okay. It wasn't until the 3rd year when my son was older that his classmates quickly turned into the wrong crowd. The majority of his classmates were kids that were kicked out of public schools. They were a bunch of hoodlums and druggies. Also, when he went back to public school we had his reading level tested, which was a grade level below what they assured us he was at. It took time and tutoring for him to catch up with public school kids. Sending our son there over public school was a horrible parenting choice, at least when he got older.

School is far from what I had expected. This school allows "expelled kids from other schools" to enter, therefore making it so much more harder for other kids to learn. Seems like half or more of the class are "trouble" kids. There is alot of disruption and chaos in the classrooms on a daily basis.

I put my son in this school because I heard nothing but great things. Come to find out, this school is nothing that I expected it to be. The school cares about nothing but money. It's hard for me to pay for tuition, then turn around and pay for spring break. The way the school nickel and dimes you is wrong. On top of that the teaches are nice but your kids doesn't get any more attention than a kid in public school. The after school care is provided by school kids that have no training and couldn't care less about your kids. They only reason why my son goes to this school now is because I can not find any before and after school care for my child in public school. For any one planning on sending there kids to this school, look into other options if you can.

i was a student at destiny I got harrassed and they could ve caredd less the education Is good wish they wouldve had ap classes and morae class choices the only thing I can say I miss is my friends and sports they teach us how to play fair and aggressive but I wouldnt recommend the school for jh but I will for elementary and pre-k
