Wonderful school! Administration and teachers truly understand the importance of making school a fun environment for students to learn so they love coming to school. At the younger levels play is so important to learning academically and socially. So much pressure is put on schools to remove play but the staff here does a wonderful job balancing play and academics so that students learn through play. They get to enjoy the social skills and exercise gained during recess time, lunch and music and PE class. The secretaries are friendly and always helpful. We love Crosby Park.

Crosby Park's test scores are always very high. I believe that is a sign of the teachers' effectiveness.

The teachers at Crosby Park are very consciences about their teaching and the amount of homework they assign. They are aware that students are sometimes involved in other actives in the evenings.

The students learn about honesty, integrity and fairness every day. They even sing about these behaviors plus many more in the mornings.

Amazing school with even more amazing teachers and staff. I have substituted at Crosby Park often and love everything about the school. It is my favorite place to substitute teach.

All Teachers are Highly Qualified and are self motivated to teach as much as they can in a timely manner. They cheer the student's to success every day.

I believe the homework amount is given age appropriate. The smaller children are given projects or weekly spelling tests that they study for. The older children have almost daily homework, which is building a strong foundation for their middle school years to come.

Each adult models and practices honesty, integrity, and fairness. Parents are called and communicated with on a daily or as needed basis.

I've been in several LPS Schools and feel Crosby Park does an excellent job at meeting and greeting each individual and I believe they go above board making sure EACH student receives a quality education. I truly love their FAMILY atmosphere.

My oldest daughter started going to Crosby Park in 2006. From the moment we walked thru the doors to enroll, I knew we were where she needed to be. Mrs. Cruz and Mrs. Harvick greeted us with the warmest smiles and best hugs (it was like they knew that's what Hannah needed to know she was gonna be ok and what momma & memaw needed to know our girl was gonna be taken care of). My middle child is a 4th grader there and I continue to love our Crosby family. Great isn't even enough to for this school!!

Its one of the best learning environments that Lawton Public School has to offer to elementary students. It believes that all students can learn and do their best in all areas.

There is a good balance of teachers at this school. Some new, some experienced and some very experienced. Each student has the opportunity to have a variety of teachers if they manage to stay at Crosby Park through elementary.
Posted: February 18, 2016
I feel the amount of homework is just right. Some each evening for the older children and not so much for the younger children, providing a balance all around and an opportunity for each student to develop good study habits at home.
Posted: February 18, 2016
I do believe this school develops honesty, integrity, and fairness in it's students by being positive influences each day. They have a motivated staff who goes out of the way to provide honesty, integrity, and fairness among themselves, thus passing it on to the students they teach and touch each day.

With grandchildren attending Crosby Park Elementary I've noticed how well run the school is and how the children really want to be there each day. The school just recently were named "A Model School" for at least the 3rd year in a row proving that they have what it takes to be one of the top schools in Lawton.

The staff at Crosby park go above and beyond to teach our children to be the best that they can be. Couldn't ask for a better school

The teachers, counselor, support staff, and principal all work together to make sure students are successful academically, as well as socially. They show their longhorn spirit! Crosby Park is a school that gets involved with their community.

The staff at Crosby Park have taken their slogan "Crosby Strong" to heart in everything they do. In August 2014, Ms. Resa Harvick, the principal at Crosby Park for 11 years, passed away suddenly. It was such a difficult loss for the staff, students, alumni and as well as for the Lawton Public Schools family. The new principal, Mrs. Moore, was a friend of Ms. Harvick ' s and helped the teachers, students and families deal with the loss of their friend, mentor and leader. Although, Mrs. Moore and Ms. Harvick have very different backgrounds and experiences, it has been a wonderful transition. Change is difficult and this was such a difficult change for everyone involved. Throughout last school year and the current year, Mrs. Moore and the staff continue to honor Ms. Harvick ' s memory and strive to keep academic excellence at the core of their activities. Crosby Park has truly stayed Crosby Strong and rises to the occasion when it comes to serving the students and families of their community. Crosby Park continues to receive great test scores (even though school is so much more than just a stupid test!) and they have received Great Expectations Model School for 4 years. They were selected this year to pilot the Project Lead the Way ' s LAUNCH program which is part of the STEM initiative. Although, the school does have a very high free and reduced lunch population of students (68% of the Crosby Park students qualify for free and reduced lunch) it is not a Title 1 school. This means they must do more without the tremendous resources that identified Title 1 schools have. There have always been teachers who volunteer to tutor and work with their students to get them where they need to be. However, this year, 3 of the intermediate grade teachers took on the responsibility of creating an "Early Birds" math program that is offered free of charge for students who would like to participate. Once again, they show how much they care about their students! There is also a large population of special education students at Crosby Park. It is uplifting to see how hard the special education teachers work to help their students succeed. They work so closely with the regular education teachers to ensure that all students are provided equal opportunities to learn and grow in a simply amazing school. I am proud to share about what an awesome school Crosby Park is!

This school has received numerous awards for excellence. I have found that everyone there for the past (5) years has been great for the students as well as the parents. The teachers create an outstanding learning environment. They have extended day as well as many other activities for the children during and after school. The teachers are committed to excellence. I'm very happy to have my child enrolled at Crosby Park for the past (5) years. This school is not in my district and I was lucky enough several years ago to get my child enrolled there. If you want your child to learn and do well select Crosby Park.

Crosby Park is a Great Expectations Model School. The values of honesty, integrity and fairness are taught and practiced ever day at this school. A shining example of a Model School!

I feel the teachers are very effective. The students are eager to start each day, the attendance is high (which indicates the students want to be at school to learn). This also proves they want to be in the classroom learning with their teacher.
Posted: January 24, 2016
The teachers introduce the younger students to homework (spelling words) and also have high expectations for the older students (3-5th) with nightly homework and studying. The expectations, in my opinion, create strong students with good study habits and that leads to good grades.

I do feel this school develops honesty, integrity, and fairness in it's students by paying attention to each student individually and making sure to nurture their needs through education and through understanding and patience and by the staff. Their commitment to helping develop outstanding young people shows in all they do on a daily basis.

As an employee of Crosby Park Elementary I believe this is one of the best learning environments that Lawton Public School has to offer. This is my 29th year working for LPS and it's actually my 7th school. I am constantly amazed by this group of people being led by Ms Moore, our principal. This is certainly a great place for children to receive an education. The staff hits the ground running each and every day making sure "NO Student IS LEFT BEHIND." They are constantly working together to make this school one of the BEST in Lawton, Oklahoma. Crosby Park Elementary is a GREAT place to be a kid.

All the teachers and staff seem to really love their jobs. It shows in their smiles and their true dedication to the students. I am so glad we moved our daughter here.

Some of Lawton's BEST at this school. Some teachers are seasoned (worked there several years and they help to keep the school running smoothly with their knowledge and expertise) and some are brand new (motivated and excited about teaching children and about their new jobs.) The special needs teachers and classes fit nicely in this school. The counselor is always busy working with the parents and students alike making sure every child is placed appropriately.

As a grandparent of two Crosby Park Students I am quite impressed with what the school has to offer the children. They have a wonderful Principal and Staff who care for and nurture each student. They rotate classes for the 4th and 5th grades and I feel this is a plus to give the children a boost in their confidence when they go on to Middle School. They have an extended day, Early Bird Math, a Pokemon Club, Orchestra, an active Booster Club, PTA, Archery Club and a school Choir. They offer free breakfast to all students. The uniforms the students wear have been no problem at all finding/maintaining. They start each day with an assembly lead by the Music Teacher and it is so motivational and educational. I believe this insures that every student/faculty member starts the day in a positive manner. I have also noticed how the staff works together as a team to make sure the learning environment is the best it can be. The open school concept works beautifully at this school. You won't even notice when you walk down the hall. There is no better place to be a kid that at Crosby Park Elementary.

I am so honored and proud to have joined the staff at Crosby Park Elementary. The staff is truly amazing and so caring. It is easy to see why it has been an "A" school the past couple of years. The school secretary is awesome and is extremely helpful to new parents and she truly loves the students. The custodians keep the school clean and organized and safe for all students. The teachers are always willing to do so many extra things to help their students. The therapists and support staff are also wonderful. It is just am awesome place for students to learn and grow. I am excited about the future of Crosby Park and I am looking forward to watching the staff and students grow!

This school is truly amazing , the staff and teachers really care about their students and school. I moved my daughter from another lps school(Woodland Hills) that didn't care about her or really any students. My daughter is an A student and loves going to school major change from her two years at the previous school. She has a great teacher Mrs. Whiteley. Thank you to Crosby Park for making a difference and still having passion and care for the students!!!

The school also has great test scores, consistently one of the top performing schools in the district. My kids love Crosby Park and as a parent, I do too!

I have 9yo twin girls at Crosby. Being a military family, moving and new schools are always a very difficult part of the transition, that being said however, the teachers, students, and staff QUICKLY had each and every one of my fears and/or concerns dissipating. We attended open enrollment this past fall and were quickly and completely impressed by the overall devoted cohesion of the staff we experienced. We were greeted with nothing short of THE MOST welcoming, cheerful and helpful group of people we had ever encountered! Now that classes have been well underway and our year is rapidly coming to a close I can proudly and sincerely say Crosby Park has provided us with our finest experience yet in 18 years of military moving and changing schools! MANY KUDOS TO THEM!
